Are you saying then, that God is still angry towards or at you?
We are not perfect YET!

YES our Father will, does and can get angry at us and righteously so - BECAUSE we still sin.

Because HE is our Father!

He will chastise His children and anger is not negative in God - it is righteous.

Psalm 30:5 For HIS ANGER endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

#Was God angry with David?

Psalm 38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

Psalm 56:7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

Psalm 74:1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?

God uses His anger in a positive sense like all His attributes.

Psalm 78:21 Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

etc! etc!!

He does also turn His anger away

Psa 78:38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, MANY A TIME turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

Can a believer provoke God to anger?
If a beleiver can provoke God or the Holy Spirit to anger, then he is as good as dead. Because anger must be propitiated.
Yes!
Propitiation for sin - not anger!

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

Can you sin in your body?
If so that would anger the Spirit.
After all HE is not exactly going to be happy about it is HE? All of the Trinity have the attribute of righteous anger. Our Father knows His children all too well and I'm sure many of His children provoke Him to anger by sin.

Also this advice in Ephesians to Christians reminds us of the sin remaining in us which we are to learn to control and reject.

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye ANGRY, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your WRATH:

Remember also Paul's teaching about sin in Romans 7:14ff

What Britain, its politicians and bureaucrats are really grappling with is bending over backwords for every PC+Liberal repudiation of authority and decent society they can. And this to embrace every moral deviation, anti-Christian bias and perverted practice iniquity can find. Satan is in charge in Britain.

I see the Catholic Bishops are much chagrinned at the fact that the laity did not vote as they were told to.
They must be revolting....

Quote;
"When the Catholic bishops woke up on Nov. 5, two stark realities stared them in the face. First, 54 percent of Catholics voted for Obama — despite the bishops' teachings that abortion is evil. Second, the president-elect has promised to loosen restrictions on the procedure."(NPR)

GG, I hope you are not revolting!!!

I suspect the opposite is true. The decline in Christian morals and doctrines leads to liberalism. Something always fills the vacuum.
I agree with you Mike!
I would add that what is sometimes termed "spiritual bankruptcy" pre-dates the onset of a liberal church, which in turn has an effect upon society. Liberal values are a reflection on a society which has lost any respect for authority. If I add here that all authority comes from God, viz He blesses a people which honors Him. Therefore the opposite is true here also.

Psalm 94:23 And HE shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

The good news is that God is longsuffering.

In many ways western nations are inviting the enemy into their midst.
This is just one of them.
Viewing muslim nations and how they are governed and run we should with common sense reject this philosophy.
I guess the bureaucrat is blind to the obvious as usual.

I think this young lad had other issues and problems which are not addressed in this article. It is a disturbing story and his family must be devastated. But, sadly, the computer has brought about many instances of obsessive related behaviour patterns to the fore.

Obama will be an awesome President! He will restore the status of the US and build relationships with our Allies and bring about better communications even with our enemies. Obama may well reach out to America's enemies and other left dominated nations. However this will decrease America's independance and will increase the power of liberalism in the world. The ultimate direction of this can be seen in other Liberal nations as in Europe and the UK.
The danger which this brings is loss of authority in legislation and in your institutions, eg justice etc.

This only bodes decline in Christian morals and doctrines.

Can any one tell me why as some say the big media companys are bias toward the more leftest political parties. was wondering if any had a strong case to examin.Thx
Don't know if your Media over there in the US is as blatant as our BBC in UK, but this is taken from the Daily Mail (2006), quote;

"It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism."

"At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians"(Daily Mail)

The BBC is blantantly Liberal in all it's news cover and it's programming, eg soaps and documentaries.
It is also considered to be the mouthpiece of government - which delivers Liberal legislation which ever party or creed speaks.
If any religious programmes emerge they come from the LIBERAL religion of the C of E.

It is Liberal politics and morals that redefined the term homosexual to be "gay" - Thus an abomination is legalised and made acceptable proving man's iniquity to all who see.

We should remember God's involvement!

Sanctification.
WCG
13:1. They who are effectually called and regenerated, having a new heart and a new spirit created in them, are further sanctified, really and personally, through the virtue of Christ's death and resurrection,(a) by his Word and Spirit dwelling in them;(b) the dominion of the whole body of sin is destroyed,(c) and the several lusts thereof are more and more weakened and mortified,(d) and they more and more quickened and strengthened, in all saving graces,(e) to the practice of true holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.(f)

(a). Acts 20:32; Rom 6:5-6; 1 Cor 6:11; Phil 3:10.
(b). John 17:17; Eph 5:26; 2 Thes 2:13.
(c). Rom 6:6, 14.
(d). Rom 8:13; Gal 5:24.
(e). Eph 3:16-19; Col 1:11.
(f). 2 Cor 7:1; Heb 12:14.

Ro 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

If you "hear" by human ear alone then you will not be converted.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached DID NOT PROFIT THEM, not being mixed with *FAITH* in them that heard it.

The Word preached on its own does not convert.

Faith must be in the human heart before preaching works to convert.

Saving Faith being the gift of God.

Therfore!

Only God can make the word/preaching an instrument of HIS purpose unto salvation.

This then implies that God alone saves His Elect chosen from the beginning of the world. The Word is an instrument, which without faith/Spirit is but a history book.

"However Thompson's admission was met with derision by Christian and media groups.
Stephen Green, director of Christian Voice, said: 'Mr Thompson seems to be saying that because Islam is a minority religion it should be treated with kid gloves.
'This is ridiculous. All religions should be treated with equally and with the same approach. I think the reality is that the BBC treats coverage of Islam and Muslims differently because it is terrified of offending them. It is political correctness. The BBC is simply not bothered about offending Christians despite the majority of this country being of that faith.'"
(Dail Mail)

Thus if one is to be treated differently (and Thompson admits to that much) is this not a symptom of bias in the BBC?

You've dropped Joey the pope by two points. Now that is terrible. Hair shirt for two weeks and mucho penance besides.

Bene is XVI - 16
Not XIV - 14

Remember this is not a competition.

Ah now Michael
Remember you've left the papists now, so don;t fall back into the old RC trap of salvation by works.

If as you say the person is under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, then there is a universe of a difference between them and those who do not have the indwelling of the Spirit. Where God has begun a good work then they are elect and drawn to Jesus, by His grace and none of man's sinful effort is required, to that end. As Icon O'Clast teaches below, when the Holy Spirit has entered the heart then they are born again.

How about that!
I didn't know there was anybody left in the church of England that knew the truth. Theres hope for them yet.

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 2Peter 2.

On sovereignty of God.

Did Jesus believe in a sovereign God?

Jesus teaching is; I came not to do my will but the will of God.
We may argue that Jesus 'will' is in complete harmony with His Father. Yet He makes this point, always deferring to God.

EG:: Matt 12.50, 26.39, Luke 22.42,
John 4.34, 5.30, 6.38/39.

Jo 5.30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Now if Jesus defers to His Father on "will" why do some who call themselves Christian seek to establish the will of the sinner at the most crucial point, - viz coming to christ - as the operation of the will of man?

Note the Holy Spirit also defers to God.
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall NOT SPEAK OF HIMSELF; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13.

Not man!

Those who believe in the works based religions may, like the pharisees, seek to win followers to their own persuasions, and thus boast loudly.

Mat 2.15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves."

Whereas those who would truly follow God will give all the glory to Him.

The state of the world is never a good reason for making decisions on evangelism, religion or theology.
As to fighting wars with guns etc, we can see that God commanded His people to take over a country and kill the people there, - viz Canaan.
Obviously God is more concerned with eternal life than He is with temporal life.
We as people of God and followers of Christ will never be accepted in this current worldly existence. Because of Him (His name) not because of us.
We are strangers in a strange place walking a tightrope by faith, and not by sight. The Son of God was persecuted, beaten and crucified by all that is worldly then and now. We can expect no less, but to lay down our lives for the object of our faith, Christ Jesus.

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

Luk 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division
