Responses to GG's Fables: "The RCC has been around for 2000 years..." MyR: Satan has been around longer..."My faith is based on Jesus" MyR: My faith is God given, your's is man made "The Trinity is a tradition" MyR: No, its a christian doctrine based on scripture alone. Not because the church says it, but because the bible says it. Also, I am a perfect saint in Christ. "where is "were alive" in the scriptures? your making stuff up" MyR: 1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. These things all happened upon completion of scripture... "Ours are complete, yours are missing 7 books." MyR: What's the difference you have self-admittedly read neither...you defend an unopened book "Where does the bible say that it is the "ONLY" rule of faith" MyR: The devil tried this too..."Hath God said?" (Gen 3:1) Sorry, You loose again. Please insert another quarter GG's Lie: "I have read the Bible" GG: See what the scriptures say about your lying... Revelation 21:8 But...all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. |

Lance: Sola Scriptura comes from verses like John 10:35 where Jesus says "...and the scripture cannot be broken"Since we know that popes and traditions can be broken(except in the minds of superstitious idolators), it is only reasonable to base one's faith on that which can't be broken. That is the Word of God. Please show me one place in this unbreakable word where it says that any man (except Christ) or tradition is perfect. P.S. You can't apply 2 Thessalonians 2:15 to your case for tradition, because the verbal word of the apostles was only valid tradition while the biblical apostles were alive to finalize the scriptures. The scriptures are now complete and therfore no need for tradition...Therfore SOLA SCRIPTURA! But you better consult your pope about this truth, because you are not allowed to interpret scripture anyway. Sorry Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. |
