Freddie,

We all struggle with sin, the fact that you acknowledge your fleshly desires as sin differentiates you from those such as 'Bishop' Gene Robinson who espouse that their homosexulaity is a blessing from God, and that God loves and accepts them as they are.

You could easily choose to become a part of an apostate liberal 'christian' community or church that would accept you and celebrate your sexuality with you. But it would seem you have not done this, but rather see that is not the answer and will surely end in eternal sorrow. I have no advice for you other than immerse yourself in scripture and prayer, Jesus will not forsake those who are heavy laden.

I agree with those scriptures Jim, yes we are to be gentle, this sign is not pointed at individuals but at a religion, Islam is satan's cloak, a wicked faith sent to decieve, darkness masquerading as light!

We are not to be fearful of the world or of the devil. Christ himself was not back in coming forward, 'brood of vipers' I recall.

It is time we put on the full armour of God and proclaim the truth, and not be afraid of pointing out the lies and deceptions, appeasement does not work. To preach repentence, to preach the cross is calling 'all' sinners. That in itself is offensive to the world, do we cease from that? NO.

True Love is to point out the traps and pitfalls of this world, Islam is one of many, as is Romanism, or drug abuse...

Would there be so much uproar if the sign said 'Cocaine is of the devil'?

Cocaine destroys as Islam destroys both body and soul. This churches act is bold and compassionate, so what if unrepentent sinners find it offensive, they find the Cross offensive!

I am X Parachute Regiment, maybe it is the scrapper in me...

This has come at a time when your so called Christian President Quotes from the Koran, Maybe if the sign gave a qualifying scripture, I know there are many!

So a church exercises it's legal and democratic right by stating its position on Islam and they are criminally attacked.

That's secular justice for you!

It's illegal, punishable by death to own a bible, build a church or convert to Christianity in Saudi Arabia and many other Islamic countries. That is what the Muslims are working to achieve in the west. That is true intolerance, that is what the sign is alluding to. The well meaning liberals who are screaming the sign is intolerant and divisive should remember that when sharia and the taliban come knocking own their door, telling them they're little girls can't go to school or their teenage boy who stole a CD from Walmart must have his hands chopped off. When they blow up the Presidents monument on mount Rushmoor, stone rape victims for being adulterers or burn homosexuals then they may change their tune!

Obama is all things to all people.

He quotes from the Quran, no doubt he will attend mass, and when he eventually goes to the far east he will wrap himself in prayer flags or stroke a holy cow.

Pathetic!

'Bishop Schori'...

Talking about heresies?

Gay Bishops, women bishops, women priests, same sex marriage, etc.

That woman needs to repent, humble herself and read the bible to discover how to be a true woman of God.

Fuzzy,

The doctrines of Grace - the doctrine taught by the apostles long before Calvin, Paul said it is Grace we are saved not by works, the doctrines of Grace are not a religion but are core to our faith...

The Methodist's Arminian teachings are a rotten foundation such as the house that was built on sand and not on the rock. Arminianism is a doctrine of works, so it is not built on the Jesus's full atoning sacrifice on the cross. From that point everything begins to bend and crack, hence their ecumenical flirtations with Rome or their leanings toward the enviromental cult.

So once again they should stop trying to be hip and relevant, stop trying in vain to be acceptable to a fallen world and get with the programme. Maybe if they listened to sound doctrine as much as they are obviously listening to the propaganda of the enviromental movement, they may come to a place of humility and accept we are sinners saved by grace alone.

Maybe they should start by repenting for their notion of obtaining holiness here on earth...

Or their Arminian theology, or their ecumenical flirtations with Rome and the churches together movement.

They blow with the wind along with the political zeitgeist of the day.

Wesley was in error is it such a surprise then his legacy is in error!

Very charitable of Obama, gracing these churches with his presence.

I would suggest that he reads scripture and comes into church membership with one church, coming under the authority of God's Word and under spiritual guidance of a Godly servant pastor. Hopefully one who will point out to him who exactly the Pope is and what he represents.

Just watched the film on You Tube. It is as reported, reminds me of the Scientology events where public streets become private domains with organisers own laws.

America be warned, we have northern cities here in the Uk which have been islamified where the 7/7 bombers originated. You have an enemy within.]]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtiO3pUfnZw

I welcome the Bishop's stance and commend his courage.

I am a little confused why he has chosen to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Anglo-Catholics, as an evangelical I would have thought he would object to their rituals, their statues and their Marian worship.

The Anglo-Catholic movement is riddled with sodomites, it was started by Newman and Pusey who were both sodomites and if anybody has ever been to Walsingham, they would see a great majority of the Anglo-Catholic clergy are also sodomites.

Hey Maxi...

You pray for the dead and I will pray for the living dead, that with God's will and Grace they will be saved.

If a person dies and goes to hell no amount of praying/petitioning or indugences will get them a transfer, I detect you believe in the doctrine of works and purgatory, it's nothing that we do it's everything He, Jesus did!

Prayers for the dead, the day of the dead, all nonsense.

Uri Geller appeared on Sky News commentating as a 'close friend' of Michael Jackson, he declared that Michael was in Heaven now...Not only can Uri bend spoons and read minds but it would seem he also has a copy of heavens guest list! Where ever he is he certainly doesn't look like a freak any more, he will be reunited with his original face.

The Reverend Al Sharp (civil rights campaigner and lifetime friend of Michael said we must pray for Michael, and that from a Protestant Minister! Bit late for that Rev Al, it is not for us to petition God on behalf of those who have died, they were either saved or not saved, leave that nonsense to the Romanists.

No more moon walking for Wacko Jacko.

LGBT - Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender...

It would seem the ones who are being excluded are straight people!

These peculiar alliances of people who have nothing in common other than rebellion against God's natural order.

As for Obama,

Beware of the man who is all thiungs to all people.

No interpretation needed, last time I read the KJV it was in plain English.

I would suggest that each Anglican 'priest' be given a Matthew Poole commentary or another of similar pedigree to aid them.

The reason why they are in such difficulty is that they are trying to dove tale a post-modern approach to the readings of texts with God's intended message. A little like trying to mix oil with water!

Higher Criticism like High Church are prideful inventions of man, designed to elevate certain men over others.

Why are comments being removed?

We are all adults here, how can we judge a man by his fruits if we are not being allowed to view them?

Roman Catholicism is nopt christian.

For many reasons...

By their doctrine of works they declare the complete work of Christ's sacrifice on the cross insufficient for our salvation.

The false cult of Mary as intercessor and co-redeemer.

The blasphemous mass...

to mention just a few!

The Pope a man who heads an organisation that usurps Christ's complete and sufficient sacrifice, voices respect for another faith that also usurps Christ. Islam and catholicism are nothing but devilish doctrines of prideful works.

The previous Pope kissed a Quran in Syria now this pope kisses the buttocks of the Mullahs.

God is sovereign he will reveal all in his time, we give thanks for him revealing the Pope's heart.

A true christian leader would point out that Islam is a false religion, Mohammed a false prophet and those who follow it are marching toward hell!

"Elevating" is a misnomer for what Obama is doing, because it is nothing less than twisting the Word of God to mean something that it really doesn't.

"Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment" (Matthew 12:36)

"And consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation: even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given to him has written to you; Pas also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are uninstructed and unstable twist, as they do also the other Scriptures, toward their own destruction." 2 Peter 3:15,16
