if it´s not - Heaven will be empty.
At the very least, I won´t be there.

"Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears for ever flow,
All for sin could not atone,
Thou must save, and Thou alone.
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee."

having been a medical practitioner for 40-odd years - including some 10 years assisting in the medical supervision of `red-light-districts` - my findings indicate that homosexuality was almost(?) invariably due to a deliberate choice following enjoyable experiences.
A homosexual potential may(?) exist - and why not, in our fallen state? - but the subsequent course is voluntary, and in God´s eyes, sinful.

Nothing new under the sun.
First, `nominal christians´ are enticed into a church offering `some sort of certainty´ - then congregations comprising `nominalchristians´follow suit and then it may well be that whole denominations - in the oecumenical movement for example - may go over `en bloc´ to Rome.

These times are reviewed in Pauls Second Epistle to the Thessalonians, chapter 2; and in his Second Epistle to Timothy, Chapter 4.

The Gospel is plain for all that have eyes to see :-

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else." (Isaiah, 45;22) -
and -
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;" (Hebrews,12;2)

The Roman Catholic Church -
"semper eadem " -
the same yesterday, today and forever.

You´re a great wriggler Lance, see how this one goes.

Very true Jim - of course Lance is missing the point again.
If Catholic Church Law should prevail over Civil Law it means - as it did in mediaeval times - that "criminal clergy" should be exempt from secular punishment whereas "heretics" would be handed over to the secular arm to be dealt with according to the Churches verdict.
Nice prospects.

I agree wth you 100%.

The same situation is rapidly developing in England and Germany.

But take heart -

The Lord will overcome !

Well said, Councilman Haire !

Anyone who does not pray in the name of Jesus might just as well "pray to the wind".

How does the County come to be meddling in religious matters ? Isn´t that against the First Amendment ?

Abigail,

"In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledgment of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." (2 Timothy 2,25-26)

Don´t spoil your case by prejudice and generalization - remember Luke and Nicodemus !

My comments on iniquities perpetrated by government and/or medicine are on record.

God bless you.

Abigail,

I´m sure you would like to reconsider your generalization:-

"Doctors do not care if you live or die, but they want your money."

Even in the case of american (!) doctors the little word "some" would seem to be indicated.

The baby died almost certainly due to "neglect" and not because of "vegan feeding".

God bless you.

Lance,

the Pope is termed and addressed with the title "Holy Father.

The only place this term is used in the Bible is in St John´s Gospel, chapter 17, verse 11, when the Lord prays to His Father.

The Pope has thus usurped, with no shadow of excuse, a Name of the First Person of the Triune God.

Consider for yourself if that is not blasphemy.

God does not give His glory to another.

Individual roman catholics may well be children of God, but the RCC is a blasphemous institution

too right, Vic -

any "evidence" they have can only be "statistical" - add that to the pre-conceived idea of "evolution" and the answers a "lemon".

According to this the next step in evolution for mankind could well be the development of a "homo schizophrensis".

Sounds feasible

Lance,

the faith of a christian is in Jesus Christ - the Foundation and Cornerstone of our belief -

NOT Jesus Christ AND the BVM Mary, Mother of God AND the Saints AND the Pope AND the RCC - nor the Baptists neither come to that -

that´s something you´ve obviously still to "learn".

In present day England apparently you may belong to any religion and be an aggressive member of any known State or ethnic group.

Always provided you are NOT a convinced Christian and/or English and proud of it.

They´ve come a long way towards destroying the english Way of Life.

The Church of Christ cannot be destroyed - we have His promise.

GG,

you can phrase it as you like -

if you have to suffer for your sin in "restitution" then the Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ was not sufficient to atone for all the consequences of sin.

That were a blasphemous conclusion.

GG,

you´ve just confirmed Dan´s point.

God freely forgave David when he admitted his guilt.
God freely punished David "because by this deed thou hast givengreat occasion for the enemies of God to blaspheme" with the death of the child.

This was certainly not a case of doing "something (works religion!) to restore our relationship with God"

The teaching of Yoga always starts with "harmless" exercises leading to a subsequent acceptance of the underlying philosophy.
This philosophy does not recognize a unique "Son of God" - that is something that all Yoga devotees may become ultimately - there is therefore no place for our Lord in this system.
"Yoga" and the belief in "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour" are mutually exclusive.
Thanks are due for the Ministers concerned, may further Ministers follow suit !

GG,

No way - St Paul refers to the "rock of offense" (Christ) - in Romans 9;33; and to the "spiritual Rock,....and that Rock was Christ" in I Corinthians 10;4.

the romans (sic) had a word for it -

"de gustibus non disputandum" -

one does not dispute matters of taste.

GG,

we part tracks right at the start.

Nowhere in the Old or the New Testament is the word "Rock" symbolical of anyone other than Almighty God - than Jesus Christ.

Peter´s avowal of Jesus Christ as the Son of God is the Rock on which His Church is founded.

We are expressly ordered neither to add nor to take away anything from the words of the book (Rev. 22;18-19).

The Pope´s claims and the traditions of the church are irrelevant.

"I am the Lord; that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." (Isaiah 42;8)
