Calvinism as a tour de force in history has built many strong churches and groups eg the Puritans, and have had great effects upon nations.

Even Jacob Arminius recommended Calvins Institutes as required reading on doctrine. He wouldn't have done that for a murderer, and he lived back then.

In Scotland one of the powers behind the church in our nation was John Knox who trained under Calvin. He is recorded as being a very moral and righteous man. He would not have accepted the instruction of a murderer.

1] There never ever was a court case against John Calvin.

2] The justice and punishment system of Europe in those times was excecution for heresy.

3] Common Sense tells normal people that no ONE individual was responsible for that system of the time.

4] John Calvin was NOT a member of the Council of Geneva who were responsible for the administration of justice in the 16th century.
