I suspect they'll be portrayed as heartless, mean-spirited blah blah types if they make any attempt to actually reign in the bloated government. I can see the single mom with sick child, or the old guy on expensive meds being trudged out before the cameras now. Not that any of the ruling class would offer personal help, but hey, anything for show.
