Let me apologize for interrupting this news thread.
But I would like to ask for prayer.

My deepest concern is that this Pro-Catholic Ecumenical "movement" which is everywhere be stopped and covered over with pitch (mine).

Thank you so much

This is a group willing to do anything to prevent the proclamation of the Gospel which sets men free (from man).
How a group of hell-bound people can feel comfortable not know the scripture is beyond comprehension.

It would be a dutiful pleasure to pray for you and watch how beautifully and faithfully our Lord delivers his own.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake Matthew 5 cf

This is a trying of your faith as well as an opportunity to "work out your salvation" in believing Daniel's God; the one in heaven.

Mr. Sutherland,

Seeing that you are a man of prayer, how would you have us pray for those who VOTED him into office, instead of having King Jesus rule over them and meet their needs?

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will Proverbs 21:1

Remember to pray for those ignorant, and new converts who have not learned the difference between the unclean and the holy, the sheep and the wolf, the wheat and tares, the Shepherd and the hireling, etc.

God called us to pray that His will be done and pray for those who have been led astray, or just don't have discernment. There are genuine believers under this money-monger just as there are many under other deceitful leaders.
So do as you were commanded: PRAY. For they are our brethren. And then PRAY.

Don't forget to be a balanced Believer and spend just as much time in prayer as you do in criticizing, or exposing the sins of others. Otherwise, you might find yourself falling from the grace of God. Vexation of spirit can do this. Be refreshed and look to the one who is in control. He is LORD. That is his name.

Once SCOTUS "approves" this abomination, then the country will RAPIDLY descend into destruction. There is no doubt in my mind. Truth and justice will have been truly "slain in the streets." The sodomites and ALL unbelievers will reap the reward.
Perhaps there should be continual prayer against SCOTUS for endorsing those things that are a reproach to any nation.

May God help us in seeking His will for our lives; as in heaven so in earth. Let Him hear our cries.

Where is Christ in all of this?

This actually brought grief to my soul. The tears for the gullible, and often proud people who feel entitled to the perishing riches of this present, yet passing, world is heart wrenching. May the Lord have mercy on us all. Pray for them and our children who may be likewise deceived as trials increase.

Could it be that they have the spirit of this false prophet, and have not tried the spirit to see if it is of God or the anti Christ?

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Deuteronomy 5:29

Watch and pray. Pray without ceasing. Always abound in the work of the Lord. Pray "Our Father ... thy will be done. All your judgments are done in righteousness, O God. Keep us from the evil one.
Judgment is necessary to bring repentance upon the wicked. What is happening today should be evidence that God is not pleased with man becoming gods unto themselves. He is removing landmarks via disasters because man is removing His; THE WORD OF GOD; THE BIBLE. Man is removing institution God has established. So God is removing ours. Our prayer should be that those caught or experiencing severe adversities will call upon Him and not curse Him.
These signs are not indicative of Christ’s return. Otherwise, it is not anticipated by a blink of the eye. The suddenness, extensiveness, frequency, and intensity supports not knowing when. We should live worthy of our calling in Christ Jesus.
With all that said; it does SEEM to be the next hour. It always has to the saints. In prayer I often feel as if I can touch the hem of his garment, Christ's return seems so nigh.
Just be careful not to make the same mistake Harold Camping did, ANNE.

My error. The love of money is the root ...

Those newspapers from which the articles are posted are money-making machines. Even though they are sometimes Christian, I hate being led to sites involuntarily, and dealing with pop ups.

Jim, your silence speaks volumes. Forgive me.

Passerby, have enjoyed many of your posts. I certainly don't want to be guilty of putting words in your mouth. Some questions for clarification if you don't mind.
Do you realize that money is not said to be the root of all evil?
You have mentioned advertising links more than once. Are you aware that some of the links to the right of the news articles take you to a web page trying to sell you something?
How do you think people who run a website pay the bills for such?
Are you saying that websites should not have advertising links on their page?
Do you think it is wrong to make money from selling ads on a website?
Do you think Jim from Lincoln is trying to promote the things being advertised on the websites to which he refers?
Thanks for your responses.

Passerby, if you look at Hovind's case, his innocence has been admitted, which I'm sure you know. The point being, as to asking if there is a wolf in sheep's clothing among us, the answer has just been given.
Pennnny, I was not referring to Hovind. I was referring to Jim Lincoln. The inbedded links seen to always lead to endless advertising links; beckoning one to "buy, buy, invest, invest," etc.

I think I know a lot about so little. But I know nothing of the Hovind case.

Also, my intended posts seem to lodge in a post totally unrelated. It is confusing to me as much as it is to other posters.

Five Valuable Lessons from the Kent Hovind Case
Against incredible odds, Pastor Kent Hovind has won in Federal Court. In my mind, this was the biggest upset since David stoned Goliath. My sources tell me that citizen victory in Federal Court is exceedingly rare. One court observer even stated that it was the first time in 9 years that someone beat the government in the court of Pensacola. I don’t know about you, but I think something is terribly wrong with that. The government always winning is not justice.
All “Nobodys” are Potential “Somebodys.” Kent Hovind is free today because of the efforts of “lay” Christians. The efforts of Rudy Davis, Racer X, Ernie Land and other “nobodies” won Pastor Hovind his freedom.
20 years of ministry:then ...
When he got in trouble with the government—initially the IRS—pastors and churches abandoned him and headed for the high grass. They didn’t want to be associated with a “tax-cheat” even though that was not what he was charged with. He spent 8.5 years in jail and those same pastors who had him speak from their pulpits would not defend him and help him.
The disciples abandoned Jesus.

I agree. Also, it is not the school's responsibility to teach God's children. Christian parents, those having the image of God restored, are to do this. Not the ungodly.

I am not sure how to frame my question. But was this 501(3c) privilege seen as a way to invoke God's blessings upon our nation due to tithing? Got it! Was our government doing this initially to tithe?

[/QUOTE]Sorry for the misplaced post.
Why God chose us and not others is humbling.
I believe our problem is that we, Christians, continue to speak about an organization as though they are fallen brethren. We speak more about Catholics and Catholicism than of Satan and his devices. One of his devices is to focus on those bearing no fruits of righteousness. We know them because of this. All we need do is remain separate, no matter how much they talk of Christ. Satan knows more about Christ than Catholicism is aware of. Do we talk about his tactics as much?
Catholics are “Catholics.” We should not bring them into our Christian topics. It is Christ we want to preach/teach, in order that others may see the Way, the Truth, and Life; Not Catholicism.
I have one of several pamphlets titled "Crimes of Roman Catholic Priests, Flowers from the Pope's Garden," Wm Lloyd Clark, Miklan, Ill. 1912. It tells of hundreds of cases, worldwide, of sexual abuses by priests. None of the victims were vindicated. ROME DOES NOT CHANGE.
We Christians should simply study the scripture about Rome, teach sound historical & biblical doctrine and trends to fellow saints; equipping them to discern what is and is not of our holy, righteous & just God & Christ crucified

Homonauseated from Sickville,

Catholics are just that; Catholics. We should not even bring them into our Christian topics. It sidetracks us. It is Christ we want to teach in order that others may see the Way, the Truth, and Life; Not Catholicism.

I'll throw this in as an aside. I have one of several pamphlets titled "Crimes of Roman Catholic Priests, Flowers from the Pope's Garden," Wm Lloyd Clark, Miklan, Ill. 1912.
Hundreds of victims, worldwide, reported a variety of sexual abuses. None were vindicated.
We Christians should simply study the scripture about Rome, teach sound historical & biblical doctrine and trends to fellow saints; equipping them to discern what is and is not of our holy, righteous & just God. & Christ crucified

Remember awhile back the Satanists wanted to erect a statue of Satan by the some city's 10 Commandments? It was a goat-man with a boy and a girl at his knees. The governmental education system is Satan's house of worship for children.
All the parents do is keep sending their kids to be "salt and light"... Yah. Kinda like a seasoned lamb chop over an open fire pit. When will Christian parents get a clue?! Or is it not happening in THEIR school? Yah.
Yes, they are lambs being led to slaughter.
Perhaps churches should have after school programs, like the Salvation Army, to tutor the children. Also, available tutors could teach Bible class. This would alleviate having to pay sitters for children waiting for their parents to come from work.
And, if its not too late in the evening, feed them a balance meal. This would help working Christian parents.
