You lost respect?!? Boy, your pride doesn't get in the way too much now does it? Let's examine your 'fruit'SteveR/Reality. First off, isn't it deceptive and dishonest to use different monikers and act as though you are two different people, if, in fact, that is what you are doing? Now, let's look at the 'fruit' the Bible says the Spirit of God brings forth in His people, 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith' Galatians 5:22 You admit to being divisive, what does the bible say about divisiveness? 'Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.' Romans 16:17. This verse speaks volumes about those, like you, who live to argue.'Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble' 1 Peter 5:5b How about love? { 1st Cor. 13} How loving is it to use words like 'ignorance of scripture', and to be prideful, as you are, and attack others? If you truly were of Christ, why aren't you pointing to the false teachings of the RCC instead of falsely accusing the brethren? Because your agenda is not of God. You must be ignored from here on out. |

SteveR/Reality,God's mercy will NOT wink at sin gentlemen, nor will He let sin go unpunished. Read your Old Testament scriptures again, starting with Exodus 34:7, "who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished". Those who belong to Christ live a life of daily repentance, battling against sin, not making excuses for it.Look closely at Romans 6:1-2,'What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?' Do not abuse God's saving grace, and take it in vain, using grace and mercy as a license to sin. 'What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.' Romans 6:15 A word of warning, quit accusing those who are exposing false teachings as being hypocrites. Even the Lord Jesus exposed the hypocrisy of the false religion of His day. |

Steve R.I will address, this one time, your pointing to 1 Kings 3:3, "high places were altars erected on natural or artificial eminences, probably from the idea that men were brought nearer to the Deity. They had been used by the patriarchs, and had become so universal among the heathen that they were almost identified with idolatry. They were prohibited in the law (Lev_17:3, Lev_17:4; Deu_12:13, Deu_12:14; Jer_7:31; Eze_6:3, Eze_6:4; Hos_10:8). But, so long as the tabernacle was migratory and the means for the national worship were merely provisional, the worship on those high places was tolerated. Hence, as accounting for their continuance, it is expressly stated (1Ki_3:2) that God had not yet chosen a permanent and exclusive place for his worship." Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Now, let's get back on topic. BTW, may God deal with you over your sin of arrogance, " because you are Biblically illiterate(along with much of Western Christianity)." May none of us think more highly of ourselves than we should. |

Realit, you say 'There are Protestants who are "professors" only as well. Take the American church blinders off.' So, are you agreeing that false converts exist in your religion as well? I am not here to take the 'protestant vs. catholic' side. This isn't about what denomination one adheres to, this is about proclaiming the truth of God's word to those who defend a dead religion. Let's not go down rabbit trails, attempting to quote the Old Testament out of context to try and prove some point. Verbal professions of faith do not mean one is a true born again believer; nor does following the teachings of church tradition grant one entrance into God's kingdom. Let's address the issue at hand, the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Let's start with just one false teaching, the idol worship of Mary, the prayer to her, 'hail Mary'. Christ tells us we are to pray to our Father,{Matt. 6}. The RCC prays to a sinner who has long since died, a woman who is now with her Lord. Can you show us, from Scripture, where we are commanded to pray to other mortals? |

SteveR, the verses you give have nothing to do with Christmas trees, they are in reference to idols fashioned by the hands of men, decorated by men, and worshiped by men.Can you defend your dead religion's ignoring of the word of God by calling your 'god' holy father? Christ commands us from His word, NOT to call anyone on earth our father, meaning in the sense of exalting a man as any spiritual head over us. From Matthew 23:9, 'And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.' How do you defend your dead religion ignoring this command from God? BTW, I do not put up a Christmas tree, or any Christmas decorations for that matter. I do not worship a baby in a manger, I worship a God that is exalted above the heavens, who sits at the right hand of the Father, and who is coming again. |

reality/stever/johny:Who is a Christian? Those who have been born again, born from above by the supernatural power of God. "Depart, depart, go out from there; touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves, you who bear the vessels of the LORD." Isaiah 52:11 True followers of Christ WILL Be led out of false, dead religions, such as the RCC. They will not stay there, because they are sealed with God the Spirit and will not sit under false teaching, which is a stench in the nostrils of a holy God. Idolatry is a sin, no true follower of Christ would pray to Mary, nor would they pray on rosary beads and repeat some mindless chant. True followers of Christ are gifted with discernment, they see error and false teachings and they flee from it. They see the false teachings about Mary, about some fictitious succession of the office of popery supposedly handed down by Peter, they see who the true Head of the church of Jesus Christ is, and they point to the false and cry, 'foul!', then flee from it. They reject the rituals, the man-made traditions for the truth of Holy Writ. They praise and rejoice in their God, who has given them ears to hear, and eyes to see. The yoke and bondage of a works-based salvation is no more! |

Reality, Not all here respond to satisfy ego. Some seek to expose the false teachings spewed out by the RCC and her followers. 'Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them' Eph. 5:11. When followers of this dead religion like Steve R come here merely to attack, it is obvious he does not have ears to hear. His religion has been exposed, using God's word, and yet he persists in his defense of it and attacking of those who oppose it. There are souls at stake, their eternal fate is only a heartbeat away. We must proclaim truth and pray. Just because we are not presently suffering persecution or being beheaded does not mean there aren't true, born again followers of Christ here who seek to present God's truth for the sake of the lost and deceived. Please do not assume the only true Christian is a beheaded one. You may insult Christ and those He has purchased with His blood. Please, keep in mind, we are not perfect, we are sinners saved by grace, living a life of daily repentance, seeking to bring Him glory and desiring for Christ to be our all in all. |

Steve R says, "Its quite simple. They must depend on irrational reasoning and misrepresentation of your position to validate their animosity against the Saints in the RCC". There are no saints in the RCC, because the RCC teaches the traditions of men. They exalt and pray to Mary, who does Christ tell us to pray to? ""Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name." Matthew6:9 Your beloved RCC also addresses a sinner as 'holy father', yet Christ commands this ""Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven." Matt. 23:9 How can you claim the RCC is of God when they neglect His word for their man made traditions? Remember this Steve R and John Y, you MUST be born again. You can to NOTHING to bring about this miraculous new birth, for it is wrought by God. He saves sinners by grace, not by church tradition or rituals. |
