YOu and I may disagree with her, but she represents what a lot of college professors believe and teach. And they are the same ones who today are teaching young people. Therefore, you can estimate that most of her students will believe what she is teaching.
And I would add in nearly every member of the media, including places on the internet like major search engines.
We've already seen how Facebook censors conservative opinions or news. That is a private company, like Twitter, but many people depend on it for their sole source of information. In fact, I have found it hard to communicate with people by email because they rarely open their 'old fashioned' email accounts, but are quick to read things on their social media sites. I am thinking of adding a line to all emails to say, why am I sending this? You would probably read it faster if I put in the US mail!

I heard this news on a Christian radio station and wondered at how long he has been around. I have read many of his tracts and the Father Alberto comic books, too. I don't think anyone else used the comic strip as a means of evangelism like he did; someone at a Christian college should teach a course on it to try to encourage new students to pick up his mantle.
Comics are incredibly powerful; Japan uses them in all kinds of situations, called "manga"

Reporting from 2 different early voting sites today: one was not busy at all, may be explained because it is a new location, and not on a major road. Second one is well known, well used at every election, and has a line of people with a 30 min. wait.
First one had only local candidates signs and volunteers handing out info, 2nd one has many more local candidates and local issue signs, and some presidential signs (it's a real forest of signs!)and volunteers for them.
I wonder how it is going in your neck of the woods? Have you checked your local early voting locations for activity?

Early voting begins Monday October 24 in my area and I am very interested to see who turns out. I think it will be Trump voters, not Clinton voters. I will visit a couple of the sites and will report back to you.
If you compare the attendance levels at the 2 candidates events, you will see that Trump has a lot of enthusiastic supporters, but Clinton does not. On the other hand, a lot of voters may be 'six feet under' and vote for her!

This story does seem to occupy many people's attention. Even the Wall Street Journal discussed it on their podcast. They suggested it was due to cord-cutting, that people are getting rid of cable and getting their entertainment from other sources. I think the use of smartphones has affected it, though others say it was the protest by certain players. And maybe even the growth of fantasy football leagues, where the results do not depend on one game you watch but all games, and you have to wait until all the games are over for that week to get the results, make watching one game less important to you.
It would be like owning 30 stocks and worrying each Monday how they are going to perform that week!
The WSJ podcast I heard said that college football viewing has not been affected.
I see it all as entertainment; I don't agree with all the opinions of people who entertain me.

Good point-"youth in asia" though the only contact I have with Christians in Asia is through the TBN daily broadcast of Joseph Prince. He will say things that people in Singapore do, and I have to remember he is preaching there and not in Orlando.
I stand corrected on my previous comment and apologize--the Jews were mentioned in this article and occupy the top spot. The chart they gave was very interesting because it gave the different brackets of income that each group occupied. I also note that Hindus occupy a high spot, which makes me wonder--what occupations do they have? Didn't Vice President Joe Biden say he couldn't go into a convenience store without seeing one? There must be a lot of money in that business! No, I think they are engineers, especially in computer and other high tech fields.
Also interesting was to note that Jehovah Witnesses have a large portion of low income people. I think all the rules they have to follow give a sense of significance to their lives that are without all the trappings that Americans count as success, like boats, second homes, foreign vacations, etc.

I have seen this kind of study before, so it's not really news. But it's good to review it again for those who haven't gotten the memo.
Birds of a feather flock together--that must be in Proverbs, right? That's what is seen here.
I think there is another set of data that show Jewish Americans are more wealthy than both Presbyterians and Episcopalians.

This is so true! I'm glad it is getting more circulation here, because I doubt the mainstream media wants to cover it.
There are a couple groups, AIM (Accuracy in Media) and MRC (Media Research Center) who are doing a good job in showing the media bias on a regular basis. Check them out to see more examples if you don't believe this story.

First time that I have ever heard of evangelical Anglicans!
At least they are debating something substantial--in comparison to so many other places where changing the color of the carpet or the times of worship services causes many people to leave and start a new church.

The letter of James says that true religion has nothing to do with theology, but rather acts of service (visit the widows and orphans).
A famous theologian (Karl Barth, I think) said theology is summed up in the children's song, "Jesus Loves Me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
I think that the institutional church, like an institution has one ground rule--to ensure its continued existence. So it uses all kinds of programs that its leaders think are important so people feel they are getting something from attending weekly services, giving money (half of which goes to pay the staff), and volunteering to usher, collect offerings, etc.
Mark 4:26-27 speaks of the kingdom of God growing like seed does, without any effort or plans or programs that so many people believe in today.
I even think that we have become so full of ourselves that we tell each other the correct way to understand the Bible, which commentaries are best, and so on.
I thought the Holy Spirit was given to us 'to guide us into all truth'

Yes, the nation is full of sinners. I haven't found anyone yet who is not one.
Trump is just another one, as is the Clinton couple.
So we get to choose which one we like to lead the country for the next 4 years.
Do we want to continue with Obama's plan, or change? Many Republicans want Trump to step down, yet, if the press used the same level of analysis of years and years of comments made by them, they would not look so clean either.
It goes to show you that some people favor their party more than the bigger issues at stake.
Have you noticed the press is not asking about Hillary's missing emails, the Benghazi episode, and many others in her past. Now they say, don't bring up Slick Willy in the debates--as if they are in charge of what you can say in this country!

This story relates well to the other one about Americans not knowing theology because I would imagine that the people attending this judge's Sunday school class are not there to learn anything about theology, but just to be close to a powerful individual, who might be able to help them out when their still in the shed is discovered by Andy Taylor and Barney Fife of the Sheriff's Department. And I would imagine not a few people like to sit in that church close to his pew to shake his hand for the same reason.
So, one moral of the story is to not trust in any statistics showing the percentage of Americans who attend a religious service weekly (which has to include cults like Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and then other religions like Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Zoroastrianism, etc).

This is just as I figured, that most people attending the services on any given Sunday could not pass a basic exam on the doctrine of that particular church. It might be from preachers not wanting to preach on those specifics, because they don't want to offend anyone so that they would leave. Don't say anything to make anyone mad--must be in their rule books. Another reason is that Sunday school classes are not well attended by adults, and if so, they might not be teaching doctrines.

Well, the Colima volcano in western Mexico is already erupting, so that must be a sign of things to come, don't you think?
Others might say the Yankees not making it to the playoffs this season is a definite sign of the end of the world!

Good point, Philip.
Of course, many young people who engage in this type of activity will say, look at those lawyers and bankers in church with their fine suits--yet full of greed!
It's the usual complaint about the church being full of hypocrites.
Older people--yes even some 'seasoned citizens' who are 'shacking up' instead of being married will say their social security benefits are greater this way!

"Undecided" was the main choice because the pastors didn't want to tell the pollsters they were really going to vote for Trump!
I hope this poll used their office phone numbers to do the poll because if it were on a personal phone, the pastors could choose to not answer. How often do you answer your phone when you do not know who it might be? There are many scams involving phone calls, and your assumption may be that the person on the other end is 'really' who they say they are. The elderly usually do this and fall into many scams.

Not only do the students go into debt that frequently goes into six-figures, but the parents have been scrimping to save money to send them to college.
Good news: people are starting to get the message that spending a lot of money on a degree from an expensive private college does not mean you will make enough money to make up the difference (from going to a public college).
And online courses are making it easier to gain knowledge and pass tests that allow you to get college credit.
