The sad fact is, most Christians have deluded themselves into believing that the Constitution was written to guarantee a Christian nation. It wasn’t. It was written to guarantee religious freedom. What Christians need to remember is that while the United States is one of the greatest secular nations on earth… It is just a kingdom of earth. The Constitution gives broad protections to all… And that includes things we don’t like. For instance: It gives religious freedom to the Satanic temple, atheism, and false Christianity. So, my understanding is that 501c3 is more than just allowing givers to write off their donations—I believe it also exempts Churches from property tax. Can you imagine what the property tax bill for your average CC Church would look like?

Interesting how the article paints the picture that they were still meeting. Well, (sadly,) it doesn’t matter what the real story is. What matters is that they have become an epicenter for contagion. It’ll be spun against the Church regardless. This will be one of the media stories that incite persecution of Christians in the US. (Of course, that is generally when we become the most effective—it is only under persecution that the early Church moves out of Jerusalem....) Just saying.
