Yet king David was a man after Gods own heart. Your kinda twisting up what's going on. King David and his son were human, like us but they also repented and renounced there sins. David pleaded with The Lord day and night. You can't compare David to us. His failing was also his families undoing.
So we can agree that the so called true believer( these women and men) who dress and smell like the world aren't or most likely not saved. In other words the average Sunday Christian. God transforms people right?
I agree, but the the real question is how do these men and women act outside of church? Getting upset about it at church is good but do we get upset about it at work or walking down the street? We have to be like Christ everyday not just Sunday. And if these so called born again believer were saved why do the still want attention from men? We have to remember that not every member at church it truly saved.
This is part of the reason I left the ELCA church, that I was raised in, a long time ago. Ordaining women was the first biblical error that i recall. The Lutherans were taught very little of what's in the Bible, and just go along with whatever their synod tells them to do. They perish for lack of knowledge.
Andrew are you saying that we should give up? That Gods people should stop praying for even one soul that could be saved. God didnt destroy a city because Abraham begged God to save atleast one righteous man. Should the righteous or ignorant be placed aside with the wicked? We are talking about souls! And you simply want to walk away and say there a lost cause? Didn't not Jesus save us when we were a lost cause. What if God quit on you before u were saved. No I refuse to walk away and I refuse to stop praying and speaking to the lost, deceived, and ignorant! Such a thought will never enter my min so long as I breathe. I have seen suffering and people hurting and die never knowing God. Ill go to my grave know I served Gods will by going out of my way in prayer, fasting and speaking for people who don't know God. If God saves doesn't he? If so then why should I simply quit?
Andrew: since you have so much guidance perhaps you should tell us what we should pray for because I seems praying for the lost (which is my point) and praying for the church aren't Gods will... If by praying for those two things is out of Gods will please tell me. Seems we are simply explaining prayer away when it is very needed. We know Gods word but do we know the God of the word and in order to know him we must pray to him. If I am wrong ill gladly shut up.

Your right John I agree that our church isn't in good shape. Perhaps that's why I feel the need to pray and speak so much. If we are the light of the world then we should let our light shine.
