Once again Jim, you use the word of God out of context in an attempt to defend something that doesn't relate to biblical Christianity. Both the Baha'i and Muslim faith are dead religion, they don't follow the bible at all. Dead religion attacks and eats itself, Matthew 5 is irrelevant to anyone outside true biblical Christianity. Who was being addressed in Matthew 5? Dead religionists like Muslims and the Baha'i community? No Jim, but since you have no discernment on how to use God's word, you merely pull something out of context, throw it out there and hope it sticks. BTW, the context is for believers, followers of the true Jesus Christ of the bible, starting with the disciples - "And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them "... |

Yes James, blb is an excellent source for study. I use bible hub too, but prefer blb. Concerning Isaiah, spot on. God teaches His sheep His truth.  Hope your day is filled with Christ, a deeper desire to know Him, and to proclaim Him to a world that is getting darker by the hour... |

Excellent advice James interlinear bibles are helpful in the studying of His word as well. Keeping chapters and verses in context and cross referencing is a must. Sometimes it's helpful to look at parallel translations as we study. In the end, the Spirit teaches and guides the sheep all truth. |

The problem with Reformed theology is they rail against one brand of religion, then exalt another brand of their own, under the guise of 'Calvinism'. They attach themselves to a mortal man, but don't see it. They proceed to attempt to bind others under the bondage of the law, and justify it by calling it 'Calvinism'. Christ calls His sheep to follow HIM, not John Calvin, not Jacobus Arminius. The sheep hear, they follow the Master. They rest in Him, looking to His work, His perfect obedience, His propitiation/satisfactory work which the Father has fully accepted, as the only means of their justification and sanctification. The righteousness of God is what we must be clothed in to enter His kingdom, that doesn't come through free will, nor does it come through a checklist, conditions, law keeping, baby dunking, etc. It comes through Christ's perfect work, and God's saving grace. Imputation is sorely misunderstood. Calvin preached much error, including universalism, as is verified in his commentary on John 3:16...Many Reformed 'idols' also held to an Arminian/universal view, like J.C.Ryle, even Spurgeon exalted John Wesley, a flaming Arminian, as 'worthy' to be numbered among the 12... |
