Max: It is you who are mislead. All Anglican Churches that are older than 500 years are Catholic Churches, which were stolen from Rome by that wife-killing, misogynistic varmint: Henry VIII. Many Catholics were martyred by the Crown, both in England and in Ireland...it would seem that pratice makes perfect, for the Brits have had plenty of practice oppressing the Irish and stealing their land, denying them their property, and forbidding their right to worship God as they saw fit. A right which I am sure that you would be willing to call important....No? Cramner was a turn-coat and a toadie for one of the wealthy families closest the Henry the "Wife Killer". Bishop Fisher, and Thomas Moore were unjustly killed by that pervert and their blood rests on the head of those who threw in with Henry. How many English Christians were cheated of knowing the blessings of Christ's true Church? Having missed their opportunity, they must settle for the dregs. I doubt that Anglicanism is any more Calvinist than the Klu Klux Klan, but I am not surprised that its Protestant. I am surprised by how many gullible folk don't know any history.

Leave these folks alone, they aren't bothering you. Put yourself in their place. How would you view a protest against aspects of your faith that aren't aimed at provocation. Jesus is big enough to defend himself, he really doesn't need your help. There has been too much blood shed and hatred. Please do not offend the Prince of Peace. Let God decide if they are in error.

You guys should organize yourselves into little bands of wack-jobs. Then you could run around town puttin out candles, and telling people how to live, and what to do, and what to read, how often to pray.....hey you could be the Taliban. Birds of a feather....

Dear Limpstock: God is ever so much more forgiving and loving than you are obviously capable of. Clear your head gear and your heart will follow.

How about the notion that pitching someone off a life-raft is serious business and the pitchee should be given every chance to change his mind. Another thing to avoid, is using Religion to serve political ends. One must be careful how one is percieved, unless, of course, one is Catholic in which case scratching one's rear will be viewed as proof of devotion to the anti-christ by those with no wisdom or discernment.

The supposed "High Profile" Catholic politicians are certainly NOT Catholic. One of the main thrusts of the Church is it's campaign against Abortion. There has been talk of denying these Turn-coats the privelige of recieving Communion. Something that would never be considered if they were faithful Catholics. Why would these politicians seek justice for those abused by Catholic clergy, when the courts are suing Catholic Dioceses' by the bushel? The current crop of Catholic political "Snake Oil Salesmen" are like their Protestant brothern. Power, and money for the Elites...Socialism for the little guy...Faith and the Constitution to the Devil.

At last some wise advise from a SA Fundie, who said, "some sobering comments...". You folks need to get on the wagon and stay there. As to whether the Irish Catholics of the Republic of Ireland will drop their native religion, which has supported them for hundreds of years in the face of British opression and Protestant opportunism, and go with the faith system of their long time enemies...I doubt it. A minority of Catholic Clergy has historically always gotten the Church into trouble, but it's the Catholic people who remain faithful to God's Truth. So let it be!

Lovers of truth? Do you love truth? If Mexican Catholics abuse Mexican Prots, you call that wicked. If Irish Protestants oppress Irish Catholics, you call that "God's Judgement and righteousnees". Do you really love truth so much?

Here are some questions:
1)How are the "leaders" both "Traditional Catholics" and practisioners of Mexican native rituals?
2)Who are the "Traditionalist Catholic Leaders"? The Bishop? Archbishop? Cardinal? The Pope? Some local yokel?
3)Did the Protestants provoke this violence?
4)“Rome Still Kills Protestants Whenever She Can Get Away with It". Was the Vatican mentioned in the article? If not, how do you know The Vatican was involved? If they weren't involved then "June USA" has made a "false witness", which is still a sin in Protestant cirlces......no?

Does God save robots? Are men, who are made in the image and likeness of God, mindless machines? God puts the choice of life and death to each individual and awaits their choice. But, only those who say "Yes" to God are saved.

Jesus declared Peter to be the "Rock". All of those men who followed in his footsteps were also part of that rock. The Popes, be they saintly or evil, have played their part in history. Some will be praised by God and others damned. Still, they serve as his Vicars on earth until he returns.

"You mean like the popish machinery does..."

MyResp: No. I know fantasies are fun but please go back on your meds.

Exactly. And when the lives of certain men and women rise above the norm to levels of Holiness and self sacrifice that make them Christ-like, these people are presented as Sainting worthy of being an example to their fellows. The work in them is God's work. He is the potter, they are the clay. Go to any art museum. The master pieces are on display to lift men's hearts to God.

There is no "Anti-Christ" in the Vatican. Judging men by appearance and 500 years of prejudice is more in keeping with the Anti-Christ than with the Prince of Peace.

And how do you see so well into men's hearts that you know that they are ALL evil? The Canonization process is solely for the purpose of promoting men and women who have lived an exemplory life and present them to the faithful as an example to follow. If you are already perfect, don't follow their example.

I wonder if we could prevail upon the British to do us a favor. The same favor they did us in the War of 1812 when they burned Washington D.C. and all the vermin left the city for other parts unknown. Perhaps they could do us, and then we could do them? Yes? NO? Maybe? Only kidding! Just a little jest!

How stupid can some people be? This abdication of sovereignity will conclude with Sharia Courts demanding more and more influence upon the British people. Sooner or later there will be violence agains the Non-Muslims there...when the men fail to grow a beard or their women don't wear coverings...or they fail to pray to Allah....5 times a day. Don't let this trash start in the States.

dhtgg: Let me be the one to remind you of some facts that you so conviently ignore when the scandal comes from Rome.
1- Most pedophiles were little known and not held up as Theological giants.
2- The great majority of priests, Bishops, Cardinals, and Popes have been good men,( I use the term good in regard to men in general, not God) limited, sinful, but as good as any other man.
3- Protestant Pastors and Protestant men have been guilty of many extreme sins...murder, adultry, fraud, thievery, bigotry, genocide, etc.
4- Jesus warns against holding oneself as better than other men and condemning them, while being a sinner yourself.
5- When the Prots held sway in the Irish Republic there was repression, discrimination, bigotry, violence against the native population, murder, and enforced starvation in order to commit genocide. But, you call your Churches, "Churches". If the Mafia must be destroyed in Ireland, shouldn't your Mafia's go too?

Sorry Jim, but in your rush to make a minor point, which turned out to be a false as well, you confused "sacrament" with "ritual". All sacraments are rituals but not all rituals are sacraments. Trust me Jim, I am a very good Catholic. By badgering JY and playing your "psych" war to destroy my faith, are you a good Christian?

PH of UK: Is God's Sabbath desecrated by Sunday Ferry Service? Not much faith on Lewis Island! Jim and the Devil (perhaps they're one and the same!) made me go "Ad Hominem".
