Great Sermon! This sermon is alarming in that we are all hypocrites to a greater or lesser degree. I like what was said "When God gives a warning it's a gracious call to repentance. Words of warning are some of the most gracious words we could ever receive." That's so true and yet when someone comes to me and says "Watch out you don't fall into the sin of hypocrisy." I become offended and angry instead of being humbled and repentant. This is such a good sermon there is so much to learn. Another saying I like is "If you fear God you have nothing else to fear." God does comfort His people, what a great blessing! What GREAT love for sinners!
Encouraging Sermon! This is an excellent sermon. I agree with the Pastor that our society believes that Christiany holds women back, when in truth it "...frees women from the tyranny that both unbiblical male dominance and modern feminism thrusts upon them". I would like to encourage men and women alike to hear this lesson. We really need to know the truth so we don't fall into unwise attitudes and judgements. I'm encouraged that God values me as much as a man, it was good to be reminded. Is it Biblical for a woman to be a pastor? Is there a Biblical office of Deaconess? These are relevant questions that are answered in this sermon.
Insightful Sermon! I appreciate Pastor Steve's insight. Never before have I heard these verses of Scripture preached together, always, they have been separated and taught alone. It's usually the Mary/Martha sermon, the Lord's prayer sermon, and the sermon on persistence in prayer. It's beautiful to see how all these verses actually go together to give as a better understand of what God desires of us in prayer. This is also the best Mary/Marth teaching I've ever heard before and I've heard a lot of them. This is an outstanding sermon!
Great Sermon! This sermon and part two are excellent. Never would I have known the depths of what Jesus was saying in His response to the Jews if it weren't for these sermons. Wow! There is always so much more to know from God's word than what a surface reading can give. Praise God he commands us to gather each Lord's day to drink more deeply from His word. And praise to God for His faithful undershepherds who study so hard and prayerfully to teach us sheep.
Encouraging Sermon! Amen to those 7 reasons!! We sometimes comfort one another with these verses so much that they can become common and lose there strength to comfort, and encourage. May that never be because these verses also tell us so very much about our Holy Father, the great work that he has done and is doing through His Son. Oh, what wonderful truths these are, most precious to us who are called :) This is a great sermon. How very safe we are in Chirst!
Great Sermon! Pastor Albert's sermon is just so informative and of course a great blessing. Today with all the "strange"
gospels not according to Christ, it was a blessing to hear and see the Truth as it should be told.
I would encourage believers to pass their unconverted relations copies of this sermon.
