Just because a person claims to be a "brother/sister in Christ" does not make it so. They claim one thing then do another that contradicts their original claim to 'brotherhood.' They claim to believe in the doctrines of grace, to be taught by the Spirit of God, and oppose the contrary but only on the surface---for public consumption and personal resume enhancement. But their true heart, exposed by their own fruit---their mouth---cannot remain hidden. Their pride compels them to 'expose' their true heart, they discard their façade of "Christian" clothing when they contradict themselves and their nakedness the world can see. Such were the Pharisees, such are the pretenders of today, such are some on this thread.

Today's offering of comments is a spectacular 'case in point'---thanks to those who have so freely exposed themselves in their fraudulent position. The Doctrines of Grace are not compatible with the idea that Christ died for the sins of every man; if so, why are so many in hell? This makes Christ out to be an utter failure---the same that is promoted by the devil.

Thanks for the glowing review, U S, please try and make up your mind which "gospel" you will believe today and tomorrow. Thanks for falsely accusing me of detesting brothers (the real ones) in Christ. I only hold disdain for pretenders. Are you a pretender U S? Playing the middle of the road on election vs. free will (your first statement is a dead give away that that is precisely what you are doing) gains you something only with those who despise Christ, i.e. the free willers. Your reverse accusations won't work here. Do you even know what it means to "speak the truth in love?" Doesn't seem so. Tell someone the truth whether it hurts their feelings or not IF it glorifies Christ and points that person to Him. Some on this thread do that; some do not and are themselves unloving, mean-spirited, and hateful because they do not glorify Christ at all.

The hoops one must jump through to ingest the heresies of the free will nonsense are endless. The tactics used by those who push their lies off on others have remained the same for generations. Although they may speak fluent Christianese and are able to recite verse after verse in defense of their indefensible heresies they nonetheless present their fantasies as "gospel truth" to be swallowed by all who hear. They love to transmit guilt on to those who even hesitate at their overtures with special vehemence reserved for who dare to oppose them and speak the Truth of the Word. They have grown to employ the "love card" as the end-all to their detractors by heaping huge amounts of shame and guilt upon all who do not measure up to their preset expectation of what "love" is and what it should look like in a believer's life. But they are devoid of knowledge not only to what love is, but to it's Author, also. The God they claim to know they have called a liar, repeatedly, unashamedly, perpetually. Rather than glorify the Lord Jesus with their words, they find fault with Him on every level. There is no glory for Christ if salvation can be had via an act of a man's will. They have created their own unanswerable conundrum by ignoring John 1:13. Such people should be marked and avoided.

More wickedness from a man (Collins) who claims to know God and is betrayed by his own mouth. He claims to believe the Bible, BUT....... As the Scripture says in Romans 1:18-25 Collins is holding (suppressing) the truth in unrighteousness, he knows the truth but refuses to acknowledge it as final truth, has been given over to his lust, and worships and serves the creature (through evolution theory) rather than the Creator.
He claims to have been saved via CS Lewis's writings (a self confessed occultist and pagan---read his auto-biography) but not through the Word of God. Professing himself to be wise, he has become a fool (v.22).
Carbon dating has proven to be 'inaccurate' at best and unreliable, but is the mainstay for "scientific" research that "proves" evolution.
The demon infested CERN project declared the "big bang" a hoax a few years back, but all reference to their findings has since been removed from view.
Collins began his views by stating that Gen. 1 & 2 were "poetic" or "mythical" which is the same rephrased question asked of Eve by the serpent "Yea, hath God said..." As is the case with all pretenders to the Faith his own mouth betrays him. Everything else Collins has to say on this matter is worthy only of the garbage can.

Many are the tactics used by those who pervert the Gospel with their idea of man's "free will" being the determining factor in their eternal destiny. One of them is an off-shoot of their cherished "love card" where everyone must "play nice" or be shunned, ridiculed, and ignored because they don't show "love" in the prescribed manner set up by these perverters of the Gospel. Such insanity is not found in the Scriptures; but the precise opposite is. View the prophets from Moses to John the Baptist, no nice guys to be found, only those that told the truth. View Christ who went out of His way on many an occasion to purposefully anger the Pharisees by showing to the world their hypocrisy. But when it comes to today's spiritual perverts it is no longer proper to call them out, it might hurt their feelings. In their mind it's ok if they call Christ a liar by changing His words to suit their fancy, but it will "hell to pay" for those who dare to stand up for their Lord and defend the Faith. Nothing new here, this has been going on since Cain started it by murdering his brother. Now these perverts seek the demise of all who dare to show them up for what they are: liars. BRING IT.

The arrogance you and others on this thread have exhibited is blasphemous and disgusting. Only a person so in love with their own self can get to such heights. It seems to be perfectly ok with you and the others to curse Christ by assigning to Him the lies you teach as truth, thereby calling Him a liar. Calling you out on this is like water off a duck's back. The kicker is that you have the gall to do your thing in the Name of Christ and attribute your "other gospel" (which is no Gospel at all) to the Trinity. Your "free-will gospel" is a lie from hell; the other "kicker" is that you likely know this already and march on in proud defiance for your king, satan. Your use of great swelling words of idiocracy (a new word just for the likes of you) and your incessant employment of double talk has been seen in your brethren the false prophets of the same cult of Arminianism. You stand for your idol, you cannot stand for the Faith because you do not know what it is, nor do you have it. Worship you Baal of free will; the underlying fact is that that Baal is you; you worship yourself.

I, too, grow weary of the endless parade of blasphemies against my Lord done in His Name by blind men. Closing this thread would be a start, and it is my prayer that the mouths of these wicked men be stopped as stated in Titus 1:10 & 11. Their rebellion has stood for far too long. Practice your witchcraft no more. "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft..." 1Sam. 15:23.

The whole of "Arminian theology" is based upon two lies: 1) that God loves everyone 'unconditionally' and 2) man determines his own eternal destiny via an act of his "free-will" (something he does not possess). They must cling to these at all cost, even that of their own soul. Their arguments are not so much to convince others of their 'truth', but to convince themselves that the things they say are correct and by defending them they assure themselves to be in good standing with the Lord---but nothing could be further from the truth. In order to achieve their goal Truth must be ignored, changed, or removed completely from any "debate" that may ensue. Thus the endless amount of words to that end. But believers are not called to "debate" the Gospel, but to preach it. The premise of 'debate' is to lend credence to an opposing view with the possibility of your own view being proven wrong. The Gospel does not tolerate any such thing. The Arminian is blind to the Truth and will remain so until it pleases God to intervene on his behalf and give him sight. Isa. 6:9 & 10 is quoted/referenced six times in the first six Books of the NT; and for good reason, the blindness of the false prophets that teach lies. Their unabashed rebellion against the Word is obvious to all who can see.

It has been said that the Lord loves everyone, this despite the fact that Scripture teaches no such thing, but the precise opposite. It is a lie told in order to perpetuate the other lie 'salvation' being "offered" to all mankind---another lie. If, as the Arminian false brotherhood would have us believe, Christ did love everyone then why did He talk with such disdain to the religious elite of His day? [This question is directed specifically to those rude individuals---you know who you are---who cannot/will not answer legitimate questions.] There are no less than 40 times Jesus spoke 'harshly' to the Pharisees in Matt.; Mark 24; Luke 31; and John 19. In John 17:9 Jesus flatly stated "I do not pray for the world"; a verse redacted from the minds of false prophets who would rather hawk their version of love instead of the Love of God as found only in the Doctrines of Grace seen in the Gospel. Every tenet of Arminianism is based on lies that were produced by ignorant men (men ignorant of the Attributes of God and God Himself). For their fantasy beliefs to "work" they must declare certain, selected Scriptures void, thereby calling the Father, and the Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit a liar. Eternal, unforgivable consequences loom for such people.

Those who oppose the Truth of the Gospel described by the Doctrines of Grace have latched on to their fantasy/blasphemous doctrine of salvation via an act of their own will. Such Arminian types carry several common traits like huge egos seated above the fray on their pedestal, vain philosophy, ill gotten logic based on everything except the Word of God and an innate rudeness shrouded in love, unity, and civility as per their own concepts of the same. They hardly ever address questions directly and then only to accuse the one posing the question of all manner of unprovable nonsense designed to deflect the fact of their own lack of knowledge and Spirit lead conclusions. By giving an honest answer to some of the questions already posed on this thread would demand the necessity of discarding the Arminian lie, repentance, and faith in the Lord Jesus. Few will do this as 'saving face' is more important to their ego than eternal life is to their soul. Enough of the Real Gospel has been presented to turn any 'errant brother' back to the Lord. When shown the error of his ways David immediately repented, he did not mount a defense for his adultery and murder---truly a man after God's own heart. So defenders of The Lie, will you repent as a real Christian would or continue to blaspheme?

The hypocrisy of the Jesuit/Arminian/free will crowd is a wonder to behold. If they really believed what they insist is true, that Christ's death was for all of mankind and not as the Word teaches (only for the elect), then how can the rest or sleep or take time to eat when the 'fields are white to harvest' and by their own dogma they must persuade the world to "accept Christ." Their hero, Charles Finney, actually believed this nonsense and even bemoans the fact of his utter failure to accomplish his goal of worldwide conversion to Christ (today, it's called dominionism). So, dear Arminian, how many souls have you passed by today, neglected to win to your Christ (who is not the real Christ at all) who, by your own mantra you have assigned to hell?

The web of lies spun by these folks is intricate and popular but in the end will condemn it's adherents.

Mike, all that you reference from Eph. 2 is true and valid, but why did you exclude Eph. 1:4 & 5? Chosen in Him before the foundation of the world; holy and without blame; predestined to adoption...Actually, to exclude any of the first three chapters of Ephesians in this matter lends itself to an exercise in in unprofitable proof-texting. The way you are presenting this is that God did not begin to love His predestined elect until after they were born again by the Spirit of God. Scripture does not hint at, nor support this idea. See 1 John 4:19 and Rev. 1:5 for starters.
