You know I actually see the point here. Plastic straws can be thrown on the sidewalk, then if it rains they can become extremely slippery and cause as elderly man or woman walking by to slip and fall, then leading to a broken hip requiring surgery and years, possibly a lifetime of pain from such an injury. If you really think about it, California is really just trying to protect elderly people from broken hips and expensive medical orepcedutes and a lifetime of physical pain. Therefore I say, THANK YOU CALIFORNIA!!!!!! 🙄😒

On more thing, saying that James White leans towards RCC and Watchtower is about the silliest thing I have ever heard. I disagree with Dr White on multiple doctrinal issues, but I listen to both his sermons and The Dividing Line regularly, he most definitely does NOT have any tendencies resembling Rome or Watchtower, much less His theology! LOL 😂 seriously I can't even believe you are serious about that comment?!?!?! 😳

Don't know if you have been reading IE's comments on this thread but I believe he is entirely more stuck in his ways and heavenly KJV only, WOW!

I honestly do not have the time to respond to each of you long posts on this thread, I will pray for discernment and understand for both myself and you. I do believe you are mislead and leaning heavily on tradition of a English translation (KJV) that is NOT the only inspirered English text. You clearly have some pretty heavy presuppositions that lean you this way. As I stated I disagree with you 100% but I will pray for you. Grace and peace.

By the way, you are assuming the King James Version is the translation that "is settled in heaven", did you inform the Godhead of this decision? The original manuscripts written by the author were inspired.... right or wrong? You seem to be the one who has no one to answer to, not Dr White who is accountable in A&O and also at Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church where he serves as an elder... your argument fall flat on their face

Wow....... I am sorry but you are completely misrepresenting James White and clearly have presuppositions that make you hate him. You can quote the Bible but the KJV is NOT the only inspired English text by any means and certainly not the best translations given the amount of manuscripts we have available today as opposed to then. If you don't agree, fine, but don't condemn someone for a nonBiblical issue such as favoring the ESV translation. I use the NASB, can I be saved from reading that translation? KJV onlyism is so dangerous and fueled by a mixture of tradition and ignorance

Exactly how is Dr White a false prophet? Because he doesn't think the KJV is the best translation available today? The Scripture you quoted I agree with however they do not apply to White. You simply said he is a false prophet, GIVE EVIDENCE AND DOCUMENTATION proving your point before you condemn someone. This is very cult like behavior, condemning an individual without having a true reason to do so.
Do you believe the KJV is the only inspired English text? If so, how in the world were English speaking saved before 1611?

You have some pretty strong opinions however none that are factual. Two questions;
1. Are you a King James only guy? Kinda sounds like you are.
2. Why exactly are ALL Study Bibles wrong? Using blanket statements such as ALL, is very dangerous and 99.99% of the time wrong. Why are they wrong? Are commentaries therefore wrong? Be consistent with your response please.
MacArthur may not be your elder but the point is he has been appointed by God and given an office to preach and teach the word of God. You are slandering him and making false accusations. You say you take him with a grain of salt, however you attack him with a machete?! Lol, you don't take him with you a grain of salt, you clearly just don't like him, which is fine, if you don't care to go against Scripture. False accusations, as said earlier on this thread, require repentance, will you?

What translation are you quoting Colossians 1:14 from? "Through his blood" is not found is the ESV, NASB, or NIV... you said you were quoting from the ESV. Clearly you to have a bone to pick with MacArthur. I have spoke with him in person and elders from Grace and know for a 100% fact that he DOES BELIEVE THAT THE BLOOD OF CHRIST IS NECESSARY FOR SALVATION!!!!

It's not mere human opinion that the blood is necessary for salvation.
Hebrews 9:22, without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
The OT shadow of the sacrificial system where the blood was poured on the altar to atone for sin was a shadow of what Christ would do, shedding His blood for the sins of His people. The blood of Christ is essential for salvation, bottom line 👍🏻

Both Frank and Jim L provided sources proving MacArthur does believe the blood is essential for salvation. Haven't seen any repentance? Falsely representing a Christian, a pastor no less, is a serious sin. Repent.

Flood this thread with Bible verses if you please, I and MacArthur both agree with you. Again I ask, have you read, listened to or even cared about his doctrine since the 80's? Doesn't seem like it.
Also your flippant attitude towards other seems to characterized you on SA I have noticed. Post all the Scripture you wish, if you are bashing fellow believers or being disrespectful to people in general that is not Christ like.
Again I say I have both heard and read MacArthur stating that the blood of Christ saves and atones for sins, bottom line you are misrepresenting him and you should repent.

Be careful who you call a heretic. Dr Tim sounds like you have beef with MacArthur but the word "heretic" is not to thrown around lightly. Have you listened to his sermons or read his systematic theology? He most certainly does believe the blood of Christ is essential for salvation.
