John I am one of those easy believists.
We are saved by grace and kept by grace alone. Not even our obedience accounts for anything.

True regeneration produces a contrite and repentant heart. It brings about obedience out of love and longing for Him. But God works out His plans in the lives of His elect in His own time

Yes we should live for jesus by living right but if someone still struggling with a piticular sin ..doesn't make them not saved
Salvation is easy believism- all of grace. Who are we to say they are getting away easy? Are we envious that they did not earn a full days rightiousness as us? Mat20 My dear brother,Rom14:4

The problem we have is to tell these ones apart from those who claim Christ but cling to darkness. Or those who manifest all the "christian" witness but are lost in their damnable heresies. There are those who are really evil but manifest "christian" light for the purpose of bringing in damnable heresies.
It's for these that we contend against easy believism Acts20:27-30, not easy believism itself. For salvation is of the Lord- all of grace

Brother CV, I find the measurement of handing out a book in the parking lot against condoning as God's will the trading out of our rep for "safety" and watching the diaspora of millions, that is millions from Iraq onward to be immeasurably different.
Driscol is a shock jock not a pastor. He built his church that way. nuff said.

America was built upon Christian foudation by people who feared God. US, with it's constitution and it's bill of rights is the best thing on this side of heaven, and has stood as a beacon of hope and freedom. But Satan was bussy too at the laying of the foundation through Jim's masons.
Today, the rapid erosion of freedom and privacy, mostly through contrived fear, is scary.

American wars are now mostly for special interests.
Darby/Schofield christianity is no help because they have little regard for an Iraqy Christian as they dive headlong to arrange Jeruslem to be the worlds capital.

The plight of most of the world will get no help from these duo's

I did notice that in the article, this woman is referred to as "Ms"; in a older article "Miss." Yet, the article describes her as a mother of three.
I wondered about that too when I first read it.

Lady_Virtue wrote:
Sadly, many women cast off the protective covering of their fathers in their youth and reject having husbands in favor of "careers, freedom, and independence." which is a rejection of God's creation order.
This passing of the headship from the father to the husbund is a biblical principal that is not going to find acceptance today. So much so, that (not enough space but) God gave the Father the authority to revoke a vow made by a daughter. That authority was given over to the husband at marriage. This was true at the very first marriage where God gave the bride and the headship and authority of that family was given to Adam. Eve was not the head and her sin did not bind Adam.

it amazes me that such an aggressive generation that has encouraged such aggressions overseas, could be so offended because a pastor in the parking lot passes out a book contrary to their views.
Not to belabour this point because it doe's not add to the understanding of the bible.

This conference was put on by GTY by their money on their property. They are NOT obligated to provide a table to Driscol or Muslims.

This was not a government styfling all forms of free speech so Driscol had sneak in and run gourilla warfare. Critize, but pay for your own program. Why diddn't Driscol go through the proper approval process. Sneaky!

I don't agree with Macarthur on everything. But I wouldn't waste any time on Driscol, let alone encourage his type of agression

Evryone quotes scripture. The JW's do it. Satan did it in the desert.

Christians undertaking a serious bible study can differ because we are at various stages of spiritual growth. You however, have a penchant to wade in to discover bizarre secret trinkets that has remained hidden to everyone else.

There is both, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and water baptism.

The context in 1Cor1 is water baptism. Paul's main point is that he doesn't want littles sects of Christianity based on whose line your church traces back to. “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.

If there is no water baptism, then in all of Paul's ministry, he only "gave" the Holy Spirit to a handful that he can't even remember for the most part. How he can dispense the Holy Spirit, only you are privy to that secret.

Isn't the Holy Spirit THE MOST ESSENTIAL element of a believer? Paul should drop everything he is doing and do the one thing that matters the most. But in verse 17, he does the opposite.

1Cor
"14I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel"

Don't know if you like the idea of being an eccentric, but all you are doing is adding to the confusion. What you are doing with scripture is weird.

If you are serious, produce another Greek manuscript. (The true one) and build a New bible from the ground up.

The demons in Mark 1:24 recognized Jesus's deity. So what if the Babylonian high priest in Rome wants to concede that. It's a way to worm its way into the church..

Rome killed the saints and hid the bible . But leave Otto you re-write history.

CV,
My point, again, is to shed light on the REALITY that some who decry the conspicuous heresies of the RCC, are unwilling to ...expose false doctrine, [and] confess the weaknesses in their own churches.
False doctrines and apostasy will grow in the last days. People will seek after seducing spirits. Jesus told us this. But is this RC's saving grace, that appostasy abounds?

RC exists solely to confuse and misdirect people away from God. All you've pointed out is that RC will be in good company in the end-- the whole lot of you.

Take Arminianism, notion that Jesus died for EVERYONE and everyone need only ALLOW GOD to come into his/her heart. Or the satanic doctrine that a born-again believer could actually lose his/her salvation. That is just two of the fundamental beliefs of a major portion of professing believers in America
Why is the RCC the only one receiving the "righteous indignation" of most posting here?
You go on to list a litany of wrongs in the other churches,
then ask why it's RC That's singled out for condemnation?

The list of wrongs you listed are all RC doctrines!

RC is NOT Christian. Make no allowances for that.

God deserves all the glory and honor exclusively! RC exists to supplant that.

RC is satans ploy to attack the Church from within. There is not a single place, NOT ONE, where RC sincerely honors God. It pretends to, by doing just enough to get accepted, then divert worship.

Satan's RC is so beguiling that it steals by pretending to be helping us.

Of course Jesus is God and Saviour, the devil aknowledges that. That's why we can turn to the devil and join him. We can pray to the devil to help us. And satan and his minions can take care of all our dealings with God.

This is RC unmasked.
It exists to supplant God. God is never sufficient. Gods work is never sufficient.

At the core, Satan's most succesfull attack has been to convince man that he is god - fallen man comming to the aid of a helpless God. This is the pillar that Rome is built upon.

Christianity is dying 'in America' because of low birth rates? Bause people are unwilling to listen to sound reasoning? Because the bad secular colleges are turning our good kids away from God?

Utter hogwash!. Christianity is never dying, because it is Gods work, what is dying is the deadwood that has been playing religion- the one that man made. Man is ultimately of his father, the devil, to whom he always returns.

Oh I got it allright! Whether it's to do with children or adults, it's a variation of the same thinking - that, "there'd been more for me, if there had been less of all of you aound".

Actually, look at the mess God has in His hands by having so many. I think God should kill off everyone so that He can devote ALL His attention just to YOU!

Or they could just do the religious (skip the legal) ceremony and then live together. Or skip the church, do the civil, and live together. Isn't it all real marriage no matter how you slice it?
Most people are skipping either one and are just living together. The state has come to terms with this and accepts this as equal to marriage. The church wants a formal declaration

'Remarriage rates plunge'

No, people aren't forgoing partnering up again, they're forgoing the marriage ceremony and just living together. Divorces are bigger then ever. It's more to do with a shift in the societal stigma that was attached to both, (and the changes in the role of women).

The bible sees marriage as a 'one-flesh union' that no man can put asunder. No divorce!

"SOME WOMEN", could your anger and bitterness be the result of over zealous Christians around you? Or could it be that your current lifestyle is in conflict with your Christian upbringing? God isn't angry with you, waiting to pounce on you.

Yes, God has always and for all times required PERFECT obedience to ALL His laws. But we could never make it. The law was given so that we could marvel and give God the glory for the grace that was extended to us on the cross. Amazing grace at that!

"SOME WOMAN", Out of pure grace God works on renewing your heart and mind to glory in Him alone.
Yes, God doesn't allow divorce. But God deals with you where you are now, not with what you had already done. Leave the past in His hands. Trust Him for His grace now, not in your ability to do anything.

10“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.12Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

People need the Lord
It is such an encouragement to hear the testimonies of saints who are taking the only HOPE and LIGHT that mankind has to the darkest corners of the world.
