"If Benedict's encyclical argues that moral shortcomings precipitated the world economic crisis, as seems likely to be the case, it could line up with Obama's own interpretation of the recession."

Maybe Obama is going to get advice on how to run the economy??

Is this some kind of confessional??

Tony Blair met the Pope and look what happened to him - he is even more confused about religion than ever!!

Hyper Wesley John;
It is time you "came out" H.W.John, and told everybody what your real doctrine is - Arminianism!
We really don't mind this H.W.John, we will still try to lead you to the truth.

The most important flower in God's garden is of course the T.U.L.I.P. It praises God in it's Biblical Truth.

# T. Praising the Lord we need Him so very much we cant help ourselves. John 6:44,65

# U. Praise the Lord HE has chosen HIS children even though we are UNworthy. Eph 1:4,5 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world"

# L. Praise the Lord He sent His Son Jesus to die for those whom God has chosen unto salvation. Greater love than this has no man. John 25:13, 1Thes 5:9,10 Rom 14:8,9 Neh 1:10.

# I. Grace Grace Grace worthy only of God whose love alone has drawn the elect to Christ. John 6:37 Rom 3:24 Acts 15:11 "...which had believed through grace"

# P. Praise the Lord for His gracious work of Love and mercy, which He begun and promised to bring it all the way to fruition in Paradise. Phil 1:6.
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ"

Question for you Pew. What makes a hyper-Wesleyan more Wesleyan than a regular type Wesleyan?
Evenin Mike!
1] "Hyper" - In relation to "our mutual friends" obsession with this accusation to all and sundry Calvinists who dare disagree with his version of doctrine.
2] "Wesleyan" - Our mutual friends "fruit" in post is not of the True Calvinist who is a TULIP man, and knows ALL the petals are Biblical.
I have tackled our mutual friend many times on these issues but his subsequent posts (fruit) differ from his claim to be Calvinist, and taste of the bitter herb of the Armin. But I am trying to help to bring them to the whole counsel.
As YOU know Mike I have no problem with the Arminian person! - I simply point them where necessary to the Bible, where the Doctines of Grace are to be found.

What about Esau?
What about Pharaoh?
What about Psalm 5:5?
What about Rick Warren?

What about all the heretics/atheists etc still rejecting the Word of God?

What about God's Word at Romans 1:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, **WHO** hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Wrath delivered to quote, "WHO" person/sinner - NOT just to the sin.

Further these verses deal with God's wrath towards PEOPLE not just the sin.

21 Because that, when *THEY KNEW* God, THEY glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in THEIR imaginations, and THEIR foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing THEMSELVES to be wise, THEY became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of THEIR OWN HEARTS, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
_________
(PS Mike I'm agreeing with you and against those who want the Lord to "love" all reprobate sinners)

1] Hyper John Calvinists

2] ALL the passages in the Bible which refer to what WE must do, so that they are left with only those scriptures which describe God and God's work

3] This enables them to sit in pews week after week to listen to sermons only about what God has done for them, so

4] because they've heard nothing which might prick their conscience. And so they never hear a reproof or correction, only doctrine concerning God

Hello John me old bucket;
My wife posted a little message for you below. And "funny man" insulted her. And apparemtly YOU agreed with Funny man??? Bad Form!!!

Your post
1] As I've said before you have a distinct problem identifying Calvinism as well as Hyper C.

2] John it would appear you see human effort AT THE SAME LEVEL as God's work??? = This is where Christine correctly identified you as having the 1/2 man 1/2 God salvation of the RC/Armins!!

3] I take it you strongly object to "listening to what God has done unto salvation" from the pulpit - and would much prefer to hear of the human works based religion hypothesis!

4] Also you state, you DONT want to hear the "Doctrine of God"???

The accusation was correct then John = "Hyper Wesleyan John"

Groooan!

"The church's ruling body voted 326 to 267 Saturday to support the appointment of the Rev. Scott Rennie, 37, who was previously married to a woman and is now in a relationship with a man
The case has divided Scottish religious leaders and follows tensions within the worldwide 77 million-member Anglican Communion. About 900 elders and ministers took part in a debate on Rennie's case, but many chose to abstain from casting a vote."
(Assoc Press)

Yes the Kirk's new title is "church of sodom and gomorah"

Note that many "abstained" from the vote - thats as bad as the 326 who voted AGAINST the Scriptures.

Since this country has become the United Kingdom of Sodom and Gomorah the politically correct thing to do is go with the flow of the sewer pipe that runs through this evil nation.

But as Romans chapter one teaches this is actually part of the process of the Wrath of God. The real crime is that this church and country has ditched the Bible.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

GOD is angry with Scotland.

People are always looking to find a middle ground between good and evil, aren't they, pew view? Our president says he is looking for compromise between pro-life and pro-death folk. (His actions do speak louder than his words, however.) Makes you wonder what would be the compromise between birthing and killing a child?
Mike
"middle ground" It is an indicator of the power of sin and the struggle within the Christian. Thus the struggle within the visible church.
The fact that Gal 5:17 refers to the "contrary" - "lusteth" opposition between flesh and Spirit illustrates the continued battle within whether we like it or not.
Paul's Romans 7 is also the case in point.
Seeing this strength and power of sin - then Mike you should become a good Calvinist and accept the TULIP doctrine which preaches all this.

1. Come now GK, even YOU can see the difference between the book of Genesis and Revelation.

4. The binding of Satan is not so complete that he does not have influence today. EG Bible teaches that he can blind people.
5. Creation remains cursed until the end.
6. The only resurrection you need be concerned with is the ONLY resurrection as ordained by God.
7. Seventh one GK because it is the complete number. 1000 years EXTRA TIME is irrelevant to election, foreknowledge and the promise of eternal life.

"A decision on the appointment of openly homosexual Scott Rennie as minister of Queen's Cross Church in Aberdeen will be taken at the General Assembly, the Kirk's supreme body, this evening.
But The Scotsman has learned that motions – called overtures – are being drawn up that propose delaying a final decision on the Kirk's overall position on gay ministers for two years.
"People are scrambling to find some middle road on this," one member said"
(Scotsman Newspaper 23May09)

The debate is today!

May God guide even this Liberal church to the truth.

"The circumstances in which religious institutions can practice anything less than full equality are few and far between," she told delegates at the Faith, Homophobia, Transphobia, & Human Rights conference in London."

What a great forum to make moral decisions in.

We can only expect worse and worse in the united kingdom of sodom and gomorah!

Still Deny The Authorized Biblical & Historic FACT Of The Pre-Tribulation/Pre-Millenial RAPTURE:
It really is not difficult to deny a fictitious fallacy which was invented in the 1830's by a deluded lost Scots lass, who had a supposed "vision" which Darby and the Plymouth Brethren tried to authenticate into Biblical fact.
The so called rapture is unBiblical and nobody believed it before the 1830's.
The 1000 years referred to in Rev 20 is NOW and figurative NOT literal!
When the Lord returns it is judgment day and after that is heaven or hell depending on the verdict!

Mike wrote:
Resurrection means a return to life. One cannot return to life if one has never been alive. If we say the unbeliever is already dead when physically born, he may be brought to life by God's grace, but it is not a resurrection, a *return* to life. It's simple. You cannot return to somewhere you've never been. The born-again have not been resurrected, but have come to life for the first time.
The sinner can "return to the life" of the relationship which the human race had with God in the Garden of Eden.

All two of them.

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life

"We find that on these issues, the clergy views are fairly in line with the laity views," said Robert Jones, president of Public Religion Research"

BUT
Not the views of GOD recorded in Scripture!

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie,

Another result for satanic Liberalism in the evil churches!

Have conservative sinners any reason in themselves why the Lord would listen to their prayers?
The alternative to satanic Liberal theology is the Biblical Truth.

God listens indeed grants the prayers of the Elect alone.
The Elect are NOT Liberals.

Liberals are the people in the "churches" who are deleting Scripture laws and precepts!

Liberals write their own bible and worship the creature and his culture - NOT God!

Liberals are the ones who accept abominations like homosexuality and the murder of babies in the womb.

Liberals are the servants of Satan who try to "sanctify" mans sins and transgressions.

There is only TWO religions in the world. - One God ordains - Two man invents. Liberalism is invented by man daily - in deliberate opposition to Scripture.

Therefore FYI God will NEVER listen to the "prayers" of Satans Liberals.

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

For "wicked" read Liberal the anti-Bible people.

But man must still repent and believe, because if he doesn't he will not be saved. Besides, faith and repentance are attitudes, and cannot be given as a gift, only wrought in the heart by the Spirit. And God still requires men to repent and believe, or they cannot be saved.
Oh why oh why John.

You're still trying to rob God and Christ from all the glory.
Still trying to give the nasty ole sinner a piece of the action.

Why oh why don't you give ALL the glory to God. It all belongs to him anyway.

What are we going to do with you John.

HOW CAN the LOVE of God be extricated from the cross, the crucifiction of His beloved Son???
