My nephew found dead yesterday morning, overdose. He had intellectual understanding, but there was no spiritual understanding, indicating he is now in hell. As dearest sister ladybug pointed out is true, head knowledge is nothing, we can't choose God, it had to be a super natural work of the Holy Spirit. For by grace you have been saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves, it is The gift of God , Not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ken Ham's organization AGREES--the universe is VERY OLD! For example, just read the lead article in AiG's January, 2001 Answers Research Journal: "Beyond Distant Starlight: Next Steps For Creationist Cosmology". [link below] He also has many articles about old universe / young earth on the Answers in Geensis website. Google startlight on his website.Creation Ministries Intenational AGREES also, google "The Speed of Matter" by Justin K. Taylor on creation.com. Even Apologia (which we use to teach our children) definitly rejects the idea of a young universe. LISTEN: Christians who are telling others that "the Bible says" the observable universe is 6000 years old are doing considerable disservice to the word of God and harm to the name of Christ, bringing them into disrepute by telling people not to beleive what we can clearly see (check out the picutres of the enormous wreckage of collisions of distant galaxies).
