The grace (gift) of God is unmerited favor, no work can you do to get it and no work you must do to keep it. It's by the works of Jesus Christ that we might be saved eternally, not our own works.
To receive the prize one must run the race by faith+works. Win and one will be rewarded positively with a thousand year reign, lose and one will be rewarded negatively with a thousand years of something else. Grace is unmerited favour? Here's is what the scripture actually teaches about grace.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:11,12).Take heed therefore HOW ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given: and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Luke 8:18, Math 25:30). Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able (Luke 13:24). |

The so called visible church has absolutely no witness at all to the world and is a joke!! Yes. This doctrine is the scourge of modern Christianity - as the scripture teaches, the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. If you are interested there is a man called Mike DeSario who has uncovered this lie in great deatil. His website is Standingthegap dot org. You can find him on YouTube, just type in Escaping the Snare and you'll see an old guy with a yellow book. He's gone back to the early Church Fathers and true Apostolic doctrine and it's the best I've encountered after 7 years scouring the Net. God bless. |
