Just thinking, should we as Christians boycott all corporations that do or support ANY sin?
Dave,

You could, by some small stretch, compare this to second hand smoke. Especially when the innocent are involved.

Exposure is not good for the public, because it cannot be contained.

As for boycotting, God is speaking out on many issues and Christians need to take heed and know who they are in this world. COME OUT! Renew your minds.

Thanks Janine for calling this situation to our attention. Brian is indeed a gift to the Church. I have been blessed by many of his expositional preaching/teachings. He is a perfect example of what God does with a person who is called at such a young age into the fellowship of believers. He who made the ear, will he not hear? Yeah, God will hear. He will bless Brian.

in a Christian sense – ekklesia

an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting

a company of Christian, or those hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, … manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake

those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body

the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth

Mat 16:18 … I will build my church …

Mat 18:17 if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: … but if he neglect to hear the church, … let him be unto thee as an heathen man …

Act 2:47 Praising God … the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Act 5:11 And great fear came upon all the church …

Act 12:1 … Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church

Act 13:1 … in the church … at Antioch certain prophets and teachers … ministered to the Lord

Act 14:23, 27 … when they had ordained elders in every church … , they rehearsed all that God had done … how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

[Act 15:3-4 And being brought on their way by the church … they declared all things that God had done with them.

Do we really want God's name to be honored? Then humble yourselves before God and ask Him to do what we cannot do in our own strength. Cry aloud and spare not. We need Him. Our parents need Him. Our children need Him. Our grandchildren need Him.

Remember to pray for these men that God will strengthen them in the inward man. May he exalt them. May the Lord prevent the enemies from triumphing in their wicked deeds done to the righteous.

May the pit they have dug for the righteous become a dwelling place for themselves.

While in the pit may the look up and seek the saving grace of the Lord that leads to eternal salvation.

This is the day of the LORD.

There is darkness all around; such, that the wicked start these fires and then want to kill the fireman.
The wicked, like Nebuchadnezzar, want us to speak a language disapproved of God.

ESPN Fires Curt Schillling for anti-LGBT post. A man is a man. A female is a female. Now come Halloween, they can disguise themselves as pumpkins if they want, but the costume has to come off eventually.

Are these people so devoid of natural affection until there is not concern for the family members’ wellbeing?

Kelvin Cochran fired for Christian beliefs. So was Daniel. However, someone is in the fire with the saints. Prayerfully, they will rejoice that their suffering is for the sake of the Kingdom and that their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Weird people at Target. They want people to feel like they belong to a toilet.
Have you wondered why this has come up during President Obama's term? It is to prevent his image from being on US currency.

Just another attempt to rid our memory of this man and whatever good he has done.

This is a time for impreccatory prayer.

Also, Psalm 115:1-2 1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

Heavenly, holy and righteous Father honor your own name. Exhalt your Son in his Church. GIve You Holy Spirit free reign among those who have been taken captive by lies and deliver them from their sin(s).

It is in Your name we pray.

Very good Jim. Sometimes I despair when I look around and see the state my own country is in. Reading those articles makes me feel a little better. Sometimes we act like it's our job to "fix the world" and we end up getting frustrated when we don't get anywhere. It's our job to preach the gospel, but the rest is up to the Holy Spirit and to Christ.
Amen

2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

2 Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Our prayer should be thus:

Isa 50:4 Lord GOD give us the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: waken our ear.

Agreed, people don't like God interfering with their wicked lifestyle.
This is the Day of the Lord. It is filled with darkness, because men love darkness, and will not come to the truth to be saved.

I agree 100% with Frank! America is already under judgement. If people will not start to think hard about these issues, there will be even more judgement.
This is because judgment has begun in the House of God.

Turn us or LORD and we will be turned. Wilt thou not revive us?

He will if we're willing to seek his favor. If we seek to please him and not man.

Had a difficult time following the reading of scripture. What version was used. I checked KJV, NKJV, NLT, NIV , ESV, HCSB, NASB, NET, RSV, ASV, YLT, DBY, WEB, HNV, RVR60 - Reina-Valera 1960 VUL, WLC, LXX So many different versions cause confusion. Nevertheless, the message was needful and informative.

This world should never be "scary" because our Lord gave us an heads up.

Besides, if this world is so bad, then we should be the first to want to go any way, any how, any time, any place, and today. This ain't our home. Don't you want to go home?

Well according to Baptist doctrine and the doctrine of salvation from the Bible I am saved and a son of God because I embraced Jesus as Savior in November 1997 and I trust entirely in Jesus alone for salvation. I am not an ordinary Catholic since I totally reject and repudiate all the unscriptural Catholic doctrines and unscriptural parts to the Mass and I adhere only to the scriptural Catholic doctrines and only participate in the scriptural parts to the Mass.
John,

Where in the Bible can I read about Mass? I've been searching for its mention, but have not found it yet.

John Yurich USA wrote:
Church membership is biblical and is important but it is not required for salvation and entering Heaven.

John Yurich/USA

You are 100% correct.

The Church is the Body/Bride of Christ. The body is visible and invisible. It is universal and local. The Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, consists only of the redeemed; blood bought ones. Redemption can occur at any time, anywhere.

The wind blows where it listeth, and thou hears the sound thereof, but cannot tell whence it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (Jn 3:8). Membership into the Body of Christ is totally the work of God the Spirit.

The evidence of salvation is demonstrated by our fellowship together under the Head of the Church because Christ is in all and filleth all.

While he yet talked to the people, behold, [his] mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him … one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, … to speak with thee But he answered … Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whoever shall do the will … the same is my brother, and sister, and mother Mt 12:46-5

We nourish one another.

1. Perhaps it could be better said that is a safety devise based in biblical wisdom (1Co 14:26) though not second by chapter and verse directly.
2. In the average evangelical congregation, church membership stands as a humanistic scheme/advantage, timidly implemented like a carnal enterprise, rather than as a healthy spiritual exercise.
People denying its adequacy or those for it, both end going 'by the letter' instead of by the Spirit. The matter should be looked as a principle of wisdom based in 1Co 14:26, and should never be undertaken under the humanistic sway of a controlled society, but as willing spiritual submission.
The issue might be that we are too 'free-minded' and as an over-reaction to the dead and useless institutionalized churches existing, we do not like the idea of being bound by a human tie.
Church membership is taken often as a carnal weapon of conduct, warfare or proselytism, yet in reality, when well exercised it may become part of a ministry of bonding and edification

Isn't there an OT type? The assembling of saints has a synergistic affect. Iron sharpens iron. One joint nourishes the other body part.

You missed the words of our Lord; I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. John 17:9
