This is a bit rich, coming from a body which is not democratically elected, and which is so corrupt that its financial audits can't be signed off. Even if this was a ruling that made any sense at all, why should anybody believe a word they say?
I'm told rapists generally get about five years, and doesn't manslaughter get less than that? Maybe someone with more knowledge than me knows average sentences for these serious crimes?
I'm surprised at the aggressive responses to Cbc. A few days ago an e-mail was read out on Fox: 'I wonder how long it will be before he finds God?' I make it about 3 days! Like it or not, the world is going to be cynical when these Damascus-like transformations take place at such strategic times. Of course we hope and pray that Vick has been found by Jesus, but the Church of Christ also has a responsibility to professing Christians to see that they make their calling and election sure. It would be a dereliction of duty to him and to the watching, unsaved world not to test his motives.
