Dear Jodie,Yes, we are not to judge, but not to judge in a hypocritical manner. From what I have seen here though, is not judging that you are thinking of, but more correction and reproof which is Biblical. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16).
But let’s go back to Matthew 7
1 "Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
2 "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
3 "Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
4 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
5 "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
So what did Jesus say here? He said not to be a hypocrite, before you correct someone else for the sin that they are committing, you should make sure that you do not commit the same sin. We should judge ourselves before we can rightly judge others.
