Sermon:
What Profit Hath A Man?
Dr. Carl McIntire

“ Great Sermon! ”
Dr. McIntire really portrays the emotion of what I can assume Solomon was feeling when he wrote Ecclesiates. It is also amazing how God makes words written thousands upon thousands of years ago so relevant even until today. Praise be to God in the Highest!

Good point John. I would have to put club "grinding" in a different category than country line dancing. For a lot of the gray line areas, I think intentions of the heart are more significant than the action itself.

Brothers and Sisters, we need to pray for our brethren who are persecuted for their love of Jesus Christ. Pray that they may be steadfast in their trials and use these situations to bring glory to our Faithful God and Redeemer. I praise God that He has blessed me with so much and I pray that we never forget how easy we have it.

"Jesus promised that he would send the Holy Spirit to his Church (the RCC of course!) to lead them to all truth."

I hate to say it GG, but this is the biggest lie of them all and unfortunately you have fallen prey to it. God's church is not the RCC, God's church is the body of all true believers (I am not God and cannot say this does not include some from the RCC). God's church is spread throughout all claimed "Christianity" whether it be Prot or Cath. Only God knows our hearts and while I believe your intentions to be good, I have to agree with most of the others on this site that your doctrine is not on the basis of the Rock of All Ages. As much as some of us, hopefully not me, give you a hard time about this, it is because we truly do care about you and your soul and want to see it glorifying the One True God, the Great I AM, the redeemer of our souls through His Grace and Mercy. I continue to pray for you GG, that Jesus Christ, in His Infinite Wisdom, regenerate your heart to live for His Glory.

Amen John. I am truly sorry to hear about your brother leaving God. No one likes to see someone in their family reject the One, True God.

Great verses Bro. Williams, I grew up when this whole spanking thing was starting to become a social issue and I am able to compare myself to a lot of others who were not spanked as a child. I must say, I am absolutely grateful that my parents spanked me. I don't even want to know how I might have turned out if I didn't have some discipline during my childhood. I can see how true these verse really are.

I pray for all of you who have children now or plan on having children, please discipline them with a firm hand but in Love. Reject this secular vomit and follow the Truth of our Lord as written in His Word.

Amen Doyle and Senator!

Acts 2 is pretty specific about what tongues were spoken by the apostles after the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Not once does it mention anything about a language that cannot be understood by any tribe, nation, culture. The tongues spoken of are known, practiced languages spoken by the people of that area during that time.

Acts 2:6 - 11
"Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God."

It doesn't mention anything about the language jibberish. Although, they might speak that in purgatory, and I'm not talking Colorado. Maybe we should ask our resident RCC members!

Matthew 7:22-23

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Tongues speakers, you better be darn sure about your claims, I have this feeling this verse is meant for you.

I, as well as the rest of us "Frankenstein-like amalgams", will take our chances with purely the Bible and Jesus Christ. You can have your sacraments, praying to dead people, purgatory, and hail marys.

The only reason I tell you to leave the RCC, GG, is because I would hate to see your face when you have to explain your actions to God. God is gracious enough to take the pain off my heart when I see my friends and family judged by His infinite Wisdom, Justice, and Righteousness.

You claim to Love Jesus, yet you agree with a system that undermines the Grace of His death and resurrection. I will pray for you GG.

"If only Osteen would read the truth of J. Calvin. Only then might he be saved from his imminent damnation! It's good to be one of the elect."

Your as heretical as Osteen. Let me rephrase this for you.

"If Osteen would only read the truth of Jesus Christ. Only then might he be saved from his imminent damnation!"

You might want to consider dropping the last sentence as it seems to me that you might not be as elect as you profess.

See GG there you go assuming that I got those words from my, or any, pastor. The reason I use those words is because they accurately describe the situation with the RCC. It is a blasphemous, apostate religion. Why do I say these things? Because of what I listed, mary veneration, praying to saints, and required sacraments. The RCC preaches these things that undermine the Grace and Redemption given by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I hate to say it to you, but I never stated that reading the Bible was a requirement. What I said was "All you have to do is meditate upon the Word of God, pray to God through JESUS CHRIST(notice the all caps emphasizing not mary or the saints), and live for His glory and you too will see the wicked ways of your church." There is no hate in my words, the only hate involved is your hatred at the truth, that the RCC is corrupt and is not of God. I will pray for you GG.

That is an interesting theory GG, but how do you explain those who were not of catholic convert that see the wicked ways of the religion? It doesn't take someone from inside the system to see that mary veneration, praying to saints, and required sacraments as blasphemous. All you have to do is meditate upon the Word of God, pray to God through JESUS CHRIST(notice the all caps emphasizing not mary or the saints), and live for His glory and you too will see the wicked ways of your church. I will be praying for you GG, you too Lance.

I agree with you all. The rainbow has more meaning because it is a symbol of a covenant between God and man. These do not affect my relationship with God through Jesus Christ, but it pains me to see these things being used in an inappropriate manner by a wicked generation.

No, screw that. They cannot have the rainbow and the fish. What's next? Give the cross symbol to pedophiles?

I think what Mike was trying to say, is that Ellison is making unprovable statements based off the most ridiculous evidence. And that the whole thing reeks of male bovine poo (to put it in an acceptable manner).

"That's funny. I thought the Catholic Church regarded Christ as the High Priest and the Holy Spirit as its guide."

Is that before or after they told you to pray to mary and saints? Or was it before or after they told you that you get a second chance in purgatory? Or was it before or after they told you the WORKS of your sacrament atone for your sins? Repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ Lance. I will pray for you as I do for GG.

"David -AZ: I have turned to the Lord Jesus as my Savior and he said, "Come to repentence and eat rich fair at the real table of the Lord, and to ignore amature religions and those playing Church"."

Did He say that only to you? Because that doesn't sound like any passage in the Bible that I know of. So if He only said that to you, you are claiming that Divine Revelation still exists today and that the Bible is incomplete. Sounds like apostasy to me, but then again thats exactly what your church subscribes to. Your comments do nothing but show how far you have fallen from the truth of the Bible.

Believe on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ (not mary, not the saints, do not pray to them, they cannot bring your prayers to the Father) and leave the false religion of catholicism. Pray to the Father through Jesus to show you the truth. I will pray for you GG.
