Sermon:
Devotional from Zechariah
Steve Marquedant

“ Great Sermon! ”
"Zechariah is a mysterious book to many, but, like the Book of Revelation, a blessing will come to those who read it, and understand it." Pastor Marquedant wrote that in his sermon overview and it's true, I'm beginning to see Jesus more than ever before in the book of Zechariah. What a blessing!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Testimonies almost always glorify God and bring encouragement to the hearer. I love to hear testimonies. I love to hear how God has worked in the lives of others. Praise to God that He called Pastor Steve to be His son I'm especially grateful because he's my pastor. He is a very humble servant of the Lord and the most Christlike person I've ever met. God granted him a tender heart at a young age; that's an encouragement for those of us who are parents and look for sign of spiritual life in our children. This is an encouraging testimony in many different ways and has been a blessing to me.

There was some really interesting dialog going on in this lesson. It peaked my interest in knowing more about atheist, deist, agnostics and the differences between them.

This is a very good sermon, full of information I didn't know. There is certainly a bit of Herod in all of us and that's a scary thought! This pastor has really brought it home on this guy, what a pathetic portrait of a man who wanted to be great but is now seen, through God's word, as an example of what become of a man left to himself. This is a very good lesson.

“ Encouraging Sermon! ”
I love these sermons about the woman at the well from John 4! I love the picture that is painted of the Samaritans coming towards Jesus and Jesus saying to His disciples "Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" Wow, they look up to see the Samaritans coming towards them and many of them later when on to believe in Jesus! What a beautiful picture. I believe the Pastor is right about this. Even though it isn't stated it does seem implied. I didn't understand verses 36-38 and now I do. I love verse 36 where it says that He who sows and He who reaps may rejoice together. This is an encouraging sermon for us to press on to do our Fathers will just like our Lord Jesus the Divine Harvester.

Sermon:
The Benefits of Justification
Steve Marquedant

“ Excellent Sermon! ”
There seems to be a lot of confusion over just want exactly justification is and how it is applied to the sinners life. Words like regeneration, faith, repentance, justification and sanctification sometimes are misunderstood in relation to one another, they were to me. This sermon is great, now the beauty of of my justification shines all the brighter to the glory of God. This pastor is an excellent teacher of God's word, I always learn a lot from him.

Sermon:
Escape from Doubting Castle
Steve Marquedant

“ What a blessing! ”
This sermon was very encouraging! I've spent to much time off the road and in doubting castle. So much needless suffering because I looked to myself and my circumstances instead of God and His promises. I like what the Pastor said, "It would be a sad error if we did not understand that the OT promises, made to the true remnant of Israel, are applicable to New Covenant believers.", sad indeed. I read the OT with a new eye and find great comfort and joy in all the promises made to Isreal. How very merciful and kind is our God to give us such efficacious keys!

I was blessed by this sermon. It teaches on the importance of the means of grace in general, and baptism and the Lord's Supper in particular. I hope other people will hear this sermon too.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I trust the true chuch of Christ will be found in such a state one thousand years from now because God is faithful even when we are not. How awesome is His grace and power to sustain His people and His word. To Him alone belongs all the glory and praise forever. This is a very good sermon.

“ Great Sermon! ”
The series titled "Difficult Verses Explained", from which this sermon is a part of, is excellent. There can be so much misunderstanding and confusion brought forth from verses like 1 Peter 3:18-20 that it's important to know what is really being said. We must know the truth to think right. We must think right to act right. I'm so thankful for the truth of God's word and for those who can accurately interpret the Word of God. Other difficult verses in the series worth listening to are: Born of the Water and the Spirit, and Not Willing that Any Should Perish.

The love of God is indeed underserved, unsought and unimaginable. You have to hear this sermon it is SO good. Our God is truly unfathomable and yet He has given us all we need to love and trust Him because He first loved us.

I have learned so much from this sermon about the ministry of women, the purpose of parables, the proper meaning of the parable of the sower and the warning from verse 18. This is an outstanding sermon.

I was never sure what the "water" of John 3:5 meant. But now I feel confident of it's meaning. I love the connection between John 3:5 and Ezekiel 36:25-27!! How very great is the love of God to His children. This sermon is an excellent exegesis of John 3:1-15.

This sermon is very good and teaches how important John the Baptist was. The Pastor sheds light on so many things, it's hard to comment on them all. I would encourage all who can to listen, you will be better equipped to discern God's word and you will marvel at how truly great our God is.

There are so many things brought out in this sermon that I never realized befpre. I never noticed how humble the Centurion was. I never noticed how tender Jesus was towards John the Baptist's wavering faith. Or, how Jesus showed forth both His humanity and divinity, so clearly, when He raised the widow's son from death. The buzz saw illustration was good. And, the ending remarks on election are very good. God does not need our faith to act. Praise to God that He is not in need of anything. This is a good sermon about faith!

“ Excellent Sermon ”
There is so much misunderstanding over these verses. Our whole culture seems to be confused. To have some mindless, blanket forgivness is foolish. These are individual principles, not rules for society. I hope that many will be blessed by hearing this sermon and gaining the proper meaning of the verses. The world will be a better place if these truths were put into practice. We need to teach our children and others what these verses mean.

The Marriage Feast at Cana

“ Great Sermon! ”
I had never seen the significance of what Jesus' first miracle indicated until I heard this sermon. And, let me tell you, I was missing a lot. Seeing Jesus from this Old Testament perspective (using Jer. 31:12, Hosea 14:7 and Amos 9:13,14) is awesome. The Lord used the wine at the wedding to show that the Messianic age (New Covenant age) had come. It never seemed significant to me that the water was turned into wine in "...6 waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece." John 2:6. Now I understand what it all meant and it's so glorious. How magnificent is our God. God's word can be veiled even to us who are born of His Spirit. I'm thankful for this Pastor and his faithfulness to dig deeper rather than do a superficial study and sermon on these verses. I'm thankful to the Lord for revealing this truth to me, what a blessing. How awesome is our God!

Tough Love

“ Great Sermon! ”
We live in a time and place where we don't have enemies like in other places of the world so I think it's easy to lose sight of this commandment from our Lord. I would like to direct you to the outline of this sermon for a good insight as to what is taught. The Pastor gives a great example of what we face today by telling a personal story from his past. It's good to ask ourselves if we are loving our enemies and not forget that we are more like our Savior when we do. What an amazing thing to extend love to your enemies, but then that is how our amazing God is. How great He is! He never ask us to do things that He hasn't done Himself.

“ Frightful Sermon! ”
An excellent balance between the wrath of God and the love of God is presented in this sermon. This is one hell fire sermon where the speaker never raises his voice, which gives an almost eerie feel to it. I think that even those born of the Spirit of God will feel the fear of God's wrath as they listen. This is an excellent sermon to encourage believers to be bold in witnessing to ohters, it is truly a matter of life and death. I'm going to make CD's of this sermon and give them to my friends and family and encourage them to take seriously what they hear and pray that God might use this sermon as a means of grace and give life to their dead souls. I feel certain that listeners will be moved by this message of the Gospel.
