Thatâs your opinion BMC and you are entitled to give it. I respectfully disagree. You probably do not live in the United States as also the other two posters who share your views. As stated in my previous comment it is a personal conviction and choice that is not a sin and granted to us by the U.S. Constitution. I assure you,we are not rebels, crusaders,or guerillas, Donât believe everything you hear or see on the fake news sites. Take care.
Ultimately the decision to bear arms is a personal choice determined by ones own personal convictions based on biblical principles. As a Christian deadly force should only be applied as a last resort,to stop evil being committed or to protect human life.
Itâs been my experience that people living overseas, different countries, etc. have a purely Hollywierd tv mentality concerning Americans. They think we wear 10 gallon hats, spurs, and speak with a southern drawl, and have our side iron strapped on ready to draw at any provocation.
Early Christian martyrs died for their witness and faith in Christ, not passivity due to acts of aggression, robbery,or violence. The ownership of a weapon for protection does not mean ones ultimate faith and trust isnât in God.
âI have therefore no difficulty in accepting, say, the view of those scholars who tell us that the account of creation in Genesis is derived from earlier Semitic stories which were pagan and mythicalâ.
Wouldnât characterize JH in the godly people of the Bible example. By all accounts he is an unbeliever who is still dead in his trespasses and sins.Probably was given a false assurance of salvation when he was a child, and never was born from above. As BMC stated he still may be a receiptient of a future mercy of Godâs Sovereign Grace.
Joshua Harris is no longer a Christian by his own admission.( he never was) That means he is not trusting in Jesus Christ as his only Way,Truth, and Life to come unto the Father. He is a false convert who besmirches the blessed Name of the thrice Holy God. No tears here for a rank social media egotist.
Dr.Tim and Christopher000- So true. Our Lord said âPreach the Gospel to every creatureâ not debate them about their vain imaginations and practices of âtheir godâ. When the Gospel is declared if they are one of His sheep they will hear the voice of the Shepherd, and come. Hallelujah, what a Savior!!
Dolores, loved reading your post concerning the birds. I found it quite interesting how you can identify the different species of birds by the materials used in building their nests. I am a bird watcher and feeder also of many who come into our backyard. Thanks for your post, I enjoyed it.
Hello Dolores- I have read many of your comments on this board. You seem to have a gentle spirit that can easily be a target for more harsher ones. I would never presume to advise you on what to post, but some great wisdom was given to me when writing on social media.
âBe kind, and donât overshareâ. Many of the Proverbs exhort us to watch our words and not to speak all that is on our hearts.
