If people in the healthcare field who are more educated are refusing these vaccines, maybe they aren't as safe as our "government" says they are.

God raises up Leaders of nations to bless or to curse the people, always to His own glory. This nation has fallen away from God and our failure to repent and return to His righteousness has earned us the leadership we have today. And still we refuse to repent. I guarantee things will get worse for all of us. You aint seen nothin' yet!

All good points. But I wonder if you imagine that the Son of God was incapable of falling for temptation....
If there was not the possibility of Him falling for temptation then He could not have been tempted as we are. But his ability to resist temptation is something we don't have because we are born with a sin nature. We are fallen, He is not. Paul say "sin reigns in us" and that is what causes us to fall. If we were not born with a sin nature then we would be like Adam and Jesus, both born without a sin nature. Adam was tempted and fell. Jesus was tempted and overcame. It was 'possible' but not probable.

You're just woffling, that's all.
I see you do not like to answer my question about sinless Eve struggling with the devil when he tempted her....
The fact that Eve contemplated the temptation instead of saying, "Yep, all except the one," and then trying to reason why not, is what brought her into sin. She should have gone right back to picking flowers or whatever she was doing and not given the serpent another thought.
Walking the street past rows of peep shows, keeping your mind on Christ rather than craning your neck to see what's going on is resisting temptation. Temptation was all around Jesus. He hung out with sinners! Did he ever consider joining in their sinful deeds? NO! Like the answer he gave His mother when he was 12, "I must be about my Father's business." Focused on the righteousness and glory of God. We don't have that focus. We are tempted and fall into sin. Christ? Never.

Jesus was tempted by sin in that it was presented to him. He neither considered it or partook of it and therefore He was sinless.
We sin when presented with a temptation and we consider it. "As a man thinketh, so he is in his heart."
In the garden, the serpent tempted Eve but her fall into sin was when she "considered" what the serpent had said. We are inundated by temptation every day (porn, drugs, idolatry) but it is only when we CONSIDER these things (allow our minds to dwell on them) that we can fall into sin. That is why we are told to guard our hearts because consideration of sin leads to sin, not temptation, for temptation can be resisted. Christ Never considered the temptations, therefore He could not(would not)sin.

Brother, Isn't it something, based on your connection with Philippians 2, that Christ the Word "has a name above every name?" Consider also Hebrews 1:4. Thanks for stopping by to comment. Praying for your family. Thanks for being a quality example.

It's "Crazed Gunmen" who are wicked. There are plenty of sane, God fearing, brave men and women who are packing heat to prevent just such occurances.

The prime tenet of Mormonism is this:
"As man is, God once was;
As God is, man shall one day become."
If you need more than this to convince you that Orthodox Christianity and Mormonism are at complete odds, then I don't think any amount of talk will convince you.

The Doctrines of Grace is what Calvin taught and is what finally gave me peace in my walk with Christ. I was seeking the truth and the Spirit led me to the 5 points. Once my mind and heart was opened to understand, everything else in the Bible came together for me and all made sense! I give God all praise and glory that he used His humble servant JC to show me the truth. "Seek ye 1st the kingdom of God and His righteousness."

This is "meat sacrificed to idols." I for one don't believe in the idols and am happy to munch cookies, however, for the sake of my weaker brothers (& my waist line) I will forgo this devilish sweet.

Is God sovereign? Can man thwart the will of God? I grew up believing the Arminian doctrine as preached in the American Baptist churches but was never at peace or satisfied. When I was introduced to the Doctrines Of Grace it was like the scales had fallen from my eyes. I was blind but now I see! All of the Bible makes sense to me. I now have true peace because I know the truth. God IS sovereign! Hallelujah!

OK, I have to weigh in on this because people are missing the point. This whole issue is not about DENOMINATIONS, it's about personal responsibility to our Lord and Saviour. Our earthly marriage is but a shadow of the wedding of the church to Jesus at the end time. It is a model of fidelity, a commitment and a bonding. It is not necessary for a magistrate to sanction a marriage for it to have validity. And as far as elderly people living together, if it is for companionship, and some semblance of a normal life with a partner after the loss of a spouse, why do we seek to condemn them? Do we expect they shall produce issue from the relationship?

John, it would seem as if the real question is who is in control. Is it the spirit, who guides and teaches? Or is it men and their doctrines that control? As children are given rules that govern every part of their lives, when grown they are at liberty to seek their own path. The immature believer needs the guidance of others because they have not yet begun to truly judge that which is before them. As they mature they will be able to make that judgment. Mature believers are to defer to the weaker and so must not advocate for that which may cause a weaker brother to stumble. If there is no weaker brother, there is no need to defer.

I do not advocate alcoholic beverages.
I do not restrict the Christian liberty of believers to drink what they will.

SP, since I seem to be the only one in dialog with you and you won't quit until you win, I concede. To attempt to debate with you further would be a waste.
