John UK writes,Church of Christ founded by son of a Presbyterian? What do you expect? R. K. Borill responds, I guess this means The Lord wasn't a Baptist because even one of his Apostles was a devil. Only the Baptists are free of apostates. John 6:70-71 KJV [70] Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? [71] He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. |

Joshi-chan writes: Wiccans are nothing but a whiny bunch of generation x-ers that didn't want to follow their parents' rules, so they joined that religion to get back at them.R. K. Borill responds, I think this is more than a whiny bunch: Deuteronomy 18:10-12 KJV [10] There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, [11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. [12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord : and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. |

For one thing, I do believe many here are Christians, if this were the tribulational period, we wouldn't be here, we would have been raptured, q.v., Reasons for the RaptureR. K Borill writes, You sound like a Dispy Dipper. Consider Scofield's fatal error: Violation of Acts 4:12 KJV [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. |

I know that archaeological documentation is important for some people, but still in all we must remember that the Word of God precedes any archaeological record and truth needs no confirmation. Hebrews 6:13,17-18 KJV [13] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, [17] Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: [18] That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: |
