Frank says... My thought is that most women who are attending college are obviously going so they can be part of the workforce."Very true... Yet on the same point, I personally believe that if a young lady can get an ONLINE college degree fostered to a home based subject (teaching, english, management) it will save them possible headache, and heartache in the future... How? Because as the homeschool "movement" grows the state governments are implementing tighter controls on the families. Many states require you to have graduated High school to legally teach your kids, and many more states are also trying to pass laws that would require you to have a college degree (like teachers in school are required too). If a young lady has that degree, than she will be better equipped to face the challenges her time of homeschooling may bring... On the point of going to a physical college, I think neither men nor women should be attending, living, or commuting to college. It's a concentrated den of vipers, all their same age, and designed to liberalize the students. Online college is the better choice. Especially now that the whole academics is slowly moving towards online based learning. There are hundreds of colleges offering online degrees for much better prices than attendin |

Ladybug said... "We should not forget Deborah,"We must all remember that God was not contradicting himself by making a woman leader over men. It was not a blessing, but rather, God showing the weakness of the men of Israel. I find it interesting that Judges records the husband of Deborah... "Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time." (Judges 4:4) We don't find the scriptures recording the wives of the other judges of Israel. Why? Because the wives were under the headship of their husbands. Meanwhile it's almost like the scriptures are reminding the reader that Deborah has a head she is under. Lappidoth was Deborah's spiritual and physical leader, and the Bible is sure to remind us of God's consistent, created order. |
