i can't believe this!! The guy was 14!!!! Was it sinful? Yes!! Is he the only teenager to behave this way? Uh.......DOUBT it!! Go to any junior or high public school and you'll probably see it happening in the halls between classes. I graduated in the 70's and it was happening in my school. I HATE the media. They are nothing but a bunch of wicked, bloodthirsty gossips who love nothing more than to dig up garbage from someone's past and ruin their lives. It's one thing if the sin is still going on, but this happened 12 years ago when he was a kid and maybe before he was even saved. Don't we all have sins in our past we wish we'd never committed and have been forgiven for by our Savior Jesus Christ?
Diane Alabama
I like your post, especially the "I hate the media part"

Question: Is it okay for us to love the Duggars warts and all, and pray for them and thank God despite whatever their failures, imperfections and sins, they have a heart after God

What a wonderful God and Savior we have. He commands us both to love Him and to love our neighbors, especially if they are part of His family

Question: In the day of judgment will we be guilty of loving imperfect people or just the perfect ones?

This is not a Catholic site.
It doesn't matter to us if he is 'off his rocker or not' whether he stays or goes that is a Catholic matter for Catholics to decide

Now where he crosses the line to involve himself in US politics and foreign policy that would be another matter, as would any involvement with churches to promotes his false teachings and religion ... by the way that is why many of us don't give you a pass when you do something similar

Personally I would love to see Francis I become obnoxious to GOP Cahtolics and drive them out of his false church into the welcoming arms of genuinely born again believers who would witness the TRUTH of Jesus Christ to them that they might be genuinely saved, follow the Lord in Believers Baptism and by the Grace of God find a faithful Bible Believing church to be part of

So the Catholic doctrines of the Bible is the Word of God, that Jesus is God, that God is a Holy Trinity are all wrong and unscriptural?

I trust you know this thread is about Joe Biden vs the Bible on homosexuality

Hopefully you can see the difference between whatever Joe Biden's opinion of homosexuality (does he misquote the Bible as many others do to promote his interpretation or agenda?) vesus what God Himself in the Bible says about it.

This is very similar to you imagining since the RCC makes statements regarding the Bible, Jesus Christ, "the Lord's prayer" they must be Biblical. So let me add my encouragement along with Christopher000's that you actually study the matter out. Humbly honestly apply yourself to 2 Tim 2:15

If you are honest I cannot help but think you will see there is an enormous difference between Scripture saying the Bible is the word of God (treating God's word as LAW that God expects to be believed and obeyed) and how the RCC has treated the Bible as a useful inspired book to be intermessed with its Traditions and teachings of the RC Magisterium

Why no!
Isn't that like some kind of Protestant version of the CCC?

Are you trying to tell me there is something seriously wrong, lacking and deficient with "Sola Scriptura" and the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit to teach and lead a child of God into all the TRUTH, into obedience to the will of God and what we really need John Calvin's "help"? (like the Galatians need circumcision to make them complete )

Again, since this thread is about the imperfect Martin Luther let me recommend the imperfect movie "Luther" (2003) it touches on Luther taking great pains to translate the Bible into German, during the time he was imprisoned for his own safe keeping. I've got a friend in TN who commended he thought is was a better movie than 'the Passion of the Christ' (Gibson's movie heavily into rc mysticism)

Luther may have been far from perfect but we can give him credit that he place a wonderfully huge emphasis on the people having the Bible in their own language ... Do you think if he had been after Calvin he would have turned people to the "Institutes" instead of to Scripture?

Since we are having a series on the 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation in which God gave the very imperfect Luther a huge part to play I came across an article mentioning Luther's Augustinian training which put him in a position with much to unlearn (Augustine) and much to learn aright (the Biblical theology the Spirit gave Paul)

http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/luther/lutheraccount.html
The Trial of Martin Luther: An Account (Luther's Hearings Before the Diet at Worms on Charges of Heresy)
Imho a helpful read

And BTW IMHO the movie "Luther" (2003) is a better watch than Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ"

I heard you, but something much worse is heavily on my heart than people bowing in worship to their smart phones so ...
If you don't mind please be much in prayer for me and other serious/committed believers in the area I live in.

It is heartbreakingly a heavily ecumenical area. The Pro-Life community is infested with people of ecumenical bent are abusing genuine Pro-Life ministry to silence (hijack) a real preaching of the Gospel, because it "offends" false Christians of various denominations and is a wonderful antidote against a bewitching ecumenical unity between false Christians and genuine

BTW Imho "Babies are Murdered Here"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxDyfSHEq5g
gives a far better Biblical Pro-Life consideration than the don't offend anyone sort

And back to the tread
"You might actually be Jesus' disciple indeed if you are truly born again of the Spirit and spend more time with Jesus in the Word of God, in your Praying, in your witnessing and service than you spend on your smart phone"

'If your smart phone causes you to sin, turn if off and/or throw the horrid idol away'

Hmmmm, I think I will remember smart phones in talking with people about idolatry. Hmmmm, as grieved as I am with Roman Catholic idolatry, seems a cell phone can be every bit as bad and/or worse than these bathtub shrines with their statues of Mary that some local Roman Catholics put up on their property

Hmmmm, much to learn and grow up into

I will be happy to, Michael. Boy, who would have ever thought that in just a few seemingly short years, the words in the Bible would become "confrontational, offensive, and wrong"?
What a generation we're living in by being able to watch the end times approach right before our eyes, and at such a rapid pace. Now, I know much needs to happen before the end is upon us; much we need to witness, that is, if one is post-trib, but nobody can deny that it's tangibly closer than ever before. Almost like you can close your eyes and see the puzle pieces slowly putting themselves into place.
Christopher000
Thank you so much for praying
It was amazing to me this 'group' did NOT want anyone picketting at the local abortion clinic to hold up any signs, even if they were Scripture with something such as:

Choose Life that BOTH you AND your Babies may live (Deuteronomy 30:19)

The Heart of the Issue seems to be
1. Will we treat the Bible as merely a guide book of good suggestions?
or
2. Will we treat the Bible as a Law Book, to be trembled at because God Himself takes personal intererest in everything He says rightfully expecting to be believed and obeyed?

BTW a serious warning in Pro 28:9 and great promise in Isa 66:1,2

Thank you for your post from Pink of all people. Someone I have serious disagreement with him on John 3:16 but that is another matter, in this he observations are on target, becasue they are Biblical, and more than that important to us as believers if we are to be faithful to Christ.

Small comment on Christians SERVING in government, ambitious to do good and what is right, and obtaining office from doing such and continueing to do good, right and serve is way different from seeking / compromising / scheming merely to be elected and pridefuly have some office or other

If you don't mind let me ask that you pray for me however the Spirit may lead and direct. We have Imho a serious matter in our local pro-life community of some objecting to a straight up preaching of the Gospel as too confrontational, offensive, and WRONG who advocate Imho a distorted idea of 'loving people to Jesus' This coming weekend there is "training" for sidewalk counseling and if I have heard correctly it may be taught by a RC woman and those of us who are pro-Christ need wisdom

Since I am the one who "imperfectly" brought up JYs claim of being a Christian, I would hope everyone who is genuinely born again would do all we might rightfully do to disabuse this fellow that any kind of empty profession of faith will ever save anyone.

And for your own peace of mind, perhaps you ought to realize the nerve JY has to post on SermonAudio writing the things he does while claiming to be a Christian walking in defiance of what Scripture says to us will provoke and rightfully draw responses from people here from time to time from people who love Jesus Christ and seek to be faithful to Him, and not see Him dishonored (others can probably word this better)

So please don't treat us as the bad guys when we do

Sadly if you want to see Pro-Jesus Christ, Pro-Gospel (the real Gospel NOT the weak, whimpy, whinny imitations of the real) pro-lifers maligned, shunned and betrayed (for apostasy and the ecumenical movement) it will come, and does from church going "nice people (not really)" out of what has been called the 'love, love, love' let's never offend the women and the father's who are knowingly terminating the life of their own children movement by mentioning
It is murder
It is sin
There is hell to pay
You will not escapte the judgment of God
No excuse will justify your sin and unbelief
BUT
God is good and ready to forgive
You need to repent
You need to be saved
(Ye must be born again)
Whew!

"Babies Are Murdered Here" will touch on things that are sabotaging and betraying those who love Jesus Christ, who love the Truth and stand for it by those who don't love Him and the Truth that much, so much so they might possibly offend somebody

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxDyfSHEq5g

For everyone of us, please humbly prayerfully watch with an open Bible

I've known you just about as well as anyone can know you over the internet, and despite whatever things you see wrong with the RCC and your liking of Southern Gospel, And Yes! Hillary is wrong/dangerous however people might put it, BUT sorry, those things really do not prove salvation. Now showing you listen to and hear the word of God and seek to obey what God tells us in His word would be a different matter, but you have continually spoken against such a thing, so for me it is safe to say today as I did years ago that you have essentially made up your own version of Christianity (pro-Roman Catholic at that) and it is ever bit as wrong now as it was then.

And yes, I would love to see you genuinely saved and obedient to Christ, as I trust many other would as well

Frank and others who prayed,
Thank you so much, the few high schoolers out weren't interested in talking but many others were and I was able to give away tracts and Gospels of John
Thanks again, Next time I will try a slightly different time.

I tend to agree with you, the issue is far deeper than just vacination children

Because Imho turning our children over to the government and its schools which are anti-God by law, is like ancient Israelites giving their babies over to be burned alive to Molock and Baal, wickedly imagining that would be for their (parents) best

BTW If any of you are a mind to pray and interceed for me, however the Spirit might lead you to. I am considering walking and hopefully as God might give opportunity to witnes to some of the high schooler here locally for awhile this afternoon

Babies Are Murdered Here

RC Sproul JUNIOR and others give a compelling and convicting message to all of us professing to be Christians who supposedly really really believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but do we really?

Hillary Clintion as big an enemy as she is really isn't the problem, we professing Christains are, If God is for us (Oops! How can He be and bless us if we are against Him substituting man-centered fantasies of Christianity for the obedience of faith)

James 2:18
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.

BTW So you know I have much learning and growing, and as RC Sproul JUNIOR SAYS, "It is NOT safe" but it is obedient

Really?

Surely you yourself know all sorts of people, yourself included have the nerve to claim they are "Christians" for all sorts of reasons that seem so right to themselves, even saying a prayer in a relatives non-denominational church with no real change in their lives afterwards.

The Holy Spirit gives James in the Bible has an infinitely better way
