Be honest Jim, you don't like her because she's Trump's pick. Remember to render to your Caesar, Jim.
Its not just Jim, the liberal MSM has been flaming her to an extent that anybody now will question her competence for the position. So much so, it will have a negative impact on all public education because it appears she bought her position.
Unprofitable Servant wrote: difference is Steve, that Catholics actual pray to the "saints" and do worship (for instance the stop at the Mary Statue during a RCC wedding)those statues. Plus in Solomon's temple there were no figures of humans and the Jews did not stop and pray or kneel to any of the images in the temple. The Joe Paterno statue which is currently in mothballs so to speak, was never set up in a place for religious worship.
UPS While the Statues, like those of Mary, was covered in the link, like you I find their Rev 5:8 defense of their asking saints to pray on their behalf unconvincing. However, certainly not without some merit and hardly a reason to conclude they are Satanists for the practice
Unprofitable Servant wrote: You confuse two words, worship and honor. The Bible says honor to whom honor is due. You also confuse a statue with a graven image that is worshiped as a god. There were no daily worship services or even a group of worshipers who came daily to worship Joe Paterno at his statue. You cannot break up the 2nd commandment because God clearly doesn't and what He has joined together let not man put asunder. The golden calf was immediately destroyed to powder, the brazen serpent lasted for centuries, both a graven work, and it was only destroyed because it became an object of worship. ...O.J. was found not guilty by a jury making a statement about what they viewed as racial injustice in terms of sentencing not because he was a football star.
UPS, 1) That's the SAME argument Catholics use. Perhaps if you spent some time evangelizing them you would know that https://www.catholic.com/tract/do-catholics-worship-statues
2) Perceived racial injustice was a factor in the OJ trial, but his fame played the most significant role in his acquittal. People didn't swarm the freeways to cheer on the OJ escape because he was one of many that have committed crimes. A different measuring stick was used for him

Yet your and my mortal bodies will die because????????? They are yet 'In Adam'.
John UK is a new creature like a pigman hybrid, and all his tissues and organs will regenerate and he will live forever.
When I read SCs comments, I think she means whores and whoredoms metaphorically as the prophets have.
Ezekiel 16:35   Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
  Ezekiel 16:36   Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
I can understand someone looking at the Super Bowl and thinking its an abomination to the LORDs Day, especially with the satanic half time displays

But there is no promise of a new body until the resurrection. 1 Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Yet another day of Lurkers jealousy of John UKs perfection. John UK not only stopped aging and is sinless, he sneezes out manna

Canons of Dordt Human Corruption Pt 3 Article 4: The Inadequacy of the Light of Nature There is, to be sure, a certain light of nature remaining in man after the fall, by virtue of which he retains some notions about God, natural things, and the difference between what is moral and immoral, and demonstrates a certain eagerness for virtue and for good outward behavior. But this light of nature is far from enabling man to come to a saving knowledge of God and conversion to him--so far, in fact, that man does not use it rightly even in matters of nature and society. Instead, in various ways he completely distorts this light, whatever its precise character, and suppresses it in unrighteousness. In doing so he renders himself without excuse before God.
It wasn't until I read the comments did I realize the Churches were going to SHOW THE GAME. From the first snippet, I thought they were going offer Church INSTEAD of the game, not make the Church part of the game experience. If nothing else, they are offering an alternative to the half time show.
""Transgender activist Tracy Ryan says she's pushing the bill because transgender women in the sex trade are disproportionately impacted by criminalization laws.""
Maybe the problem is with the men that dress up as women and not the actual law? Its crazy enough that you want to let them in to ladies rooms, now you want to legalize the oldest criminal profession for them?

I will only add, its not just the norm here, but the majority opinion with any issue dealing with Catholics. In fact, the more positive the story, the more superior benefit for people, the greater their rage. While I don't feel this board is for actual Christians, personally I'm glad you two stepped in, otherwise it would be another MacBeth Act I scene 1 around here. I guess it was ok to call evil, evil from 1776 to the 1950s, but not among the "enlightened" history revisionists of today.
Only Pastors at Churches that sold out for 501c3 tax free status cant endorse candidates.
Many think the money can be better used in Churches, others think its serving mammon.

Are you kidding? Sam Adams was a criminal. He smuggled Dutch Tea. He led the Boston Tea Party because the British LOWERED the taxes on tea, reducing his profits. He destroyed their tea so people would be forced to buy his.
He and Hancock used their ill gotten smuggling fortunes to finance riots. That's right, they financed the riots which would lead to war. Adams is more like Soros than the hero Christian you described. If he hated Catholics, it was probably their morality he disdained

Do you know what the parable of the leaven is about? It's about not the whole as being wrong but a little yeast when introduced will leaven the whole thing. Just as a little error corrupts the whole. God hates the mixing of false religion with the true religion this is why it is spoken against so much in the Bible.
Where do you get off thinking that the LORDs house was the synagogue of Satan? You don't even understand the very basics of the NT or OT, how in the world can you claim to understand Revelations?
Jeremiah 7:11   Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.

I feel BRF was questioning Trumps profession of faith, not yours. You have proved yours here over the years, but many are not yet convinced of Trumps. I would only respond to BRF that we really don't understand everything that going on with Trump and his faith, and its unfair to put him under the microscope when we don't hold others to the same accountability
