Dwayne: "by their complete imitation of Christ" are you going to die on a cross for the sins of the elect? Have you performed miracles? Can you by your own power save souls? Can you not sin for even 1 minute? True believers are without spot or wrinkle right now. they are in Christ.
Paul says in Colossians 2:10 that believers are "complete in Him" if that is true, how can I add more to completeness? Completeness needs noting else or it would have been incomplete. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Eph. 2:8-9 If I do anything of myself to earn salvation, I can boast.I agree that belivers will be more and more conformed to the image of Christ in their daily walk, and should strive to do so. But, I am not judged on what I have done myself, but on what Christ has done to me, for me, and through me. That is good news. It's all his work by his grace. Once again I will offer to speak with you via telephone. Many men on this site are cowards and will not speak with me via phone. (i.e. GG, Lance, John Y) They hide behind the mask of electronics.
