Diane - that's why I put quotes around the title. They aren't Vicars of Christ.

Did the "vicar of Christ" use the occasion to share the gospel or was it all about climate change and Marxism?

Doesn't matter if you vote for a Mormon or a Humanists. They're both idolaters.

He's part of a long line of people-hating, megalomaniacs in high office. This guy is a classic example of a sociopath. This is a good reason why you don't vote for people who lack the fear of God and hate covetousness. It's remarkable he even got one evangelical vote, especially in 2012.

Vote for Hillary jim? Will you resurrect the dead children she will kill with greater and greater funding? Will you free the pastors from the jails as our freedoms erode? Nope. You can't do any of these things. So spare us this cursed woman

Look it Jim, who governs has a real impact on the Kingdom. Which country has printed the Bible in the most tongues, the U.S. or North Korea? Which country has sent the most missionaries? The pilgrims shake their heads at the puritans, but the latter secures freedom of religion for the former. You can't just assume it doesn't matter if an evil government suppresses the gospel and I doctrines the children of believers in false religion. We aren't the worst (see North Korea), but becaus of this machinery argument we litter the nations with pornography and aid for gay rights. We kill children and oppress poor. Of course it matters. Christ rules. Electing someone who denies the fear of God will result in someone with no beginnings of wisdom.

Jim,

You say, "Huckabee and even Parry who wanted to mix religion and politics have sensibly been dismissed by the American Public." Which religion are you referencing, Romanism, Christianity, Islam or maybe Humanism? Since it's impossible to have a religionless government, which religion are you talking about?

Even if pre-mil is true, we should all act and live like post-mil is true. For we have already triumphed in Christ. Now run the race. Fight the good fight. Let your whole life be conformed to the image of God. If we share the gospel and live it too, the nation will be blessed. For whatever reason, parents decided kids were a burden and had less. For whatever reason, parents thought unbelievers could disciple their kids, despite conflicting OT and NT admonitions about parental duties. Our current situation is not surprising. We failed at raising up our posterity.

good or bad - the legislature should modify the language in the laws they write not the judicial branch.

You think it's wrong for the tax paid politicians and judges to live under the laws they make and uphold?

you may like the law but sophistry is inexcusable. Our lawmakers should lie in order to help the other branches. This law needed a legislative rewrite not a judicial patch. A law build on sophistry is a very bad law. Get ready for more with gay marriage next.

Did anyone read this article? The baby was alive in the hospital for half an hour, plus some period of time in the car. Therefore, I'm not even sure why the article uses the word, "fetus."

I can't be his disciple since I've never read a word he's penned. I am, however, a disciple of Christ because I do read the Scriptures. Your ancestors wouldn't even recognize the Federal government today. Nevertheless, culture and tradition are to be subordinate to the Scriptures. BTW, the Industrial Age is over. We are now in an Information Age. The Prussian model of schooling you hold dear is an antique of a bygone era.

The common school was spearheaded by the puritans to spread literacy and inoculate against the spread of popery. Since the days of Horace Mann, Robert Owen, John Dewey, et al. our educational system became anti Christian from the top down by design. To the unbeliever, the beginning of wisdom is not the fear of God. For decades it was pretty good but by each passing day the rotten fruits of Humanism are growing. Once upon a time the worst offenses by children we back talk and chewing gum. Today we see violent assault and heavy drug use. We aren't even allowed a voice because we hold the "wrong" religion.
