And I don’t want to stir the pot, but it’s there in the O.T. And I can show you it in the NT, I can show you what the apostles taught about the issue, and I can show you where Jesus have people wine to drink.

The question is, do you want to have a serious conversation about the issue? I don’t know you, nor your motivation for asking the question, I’m glad you want the answer to be from scripture, but do you sincerely want to know?

@Me from World, why limit it to Jesus? Let’s take a gander at the OT

Genesis 14:18 KJV
[18] And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

Numbers 6:20 KJV
[20] And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord : this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.

Deuteronomy 11:14 KJV
[14] That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

1 Samuel 16:20 KJV
[20] And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

Joel 2:19 KJV
[19] Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith...

I’m not saying that Trump has the salvation nor moral life of the apostles, I think a lot of people are fed up with the Democrats & their “solutions” that they certainly wouldn’t vote for Hillary.

You seem to always go after Trump, but why don’t you go after Hillary & the Democrats that want to force people to support abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, sex education, white racism, etc.

Don’t you realize that the left what to usher totalitarianism? Don’t you realize that in order to do that they must silence Christians? Have you taken a gander at Canada?

Oy vey Jim, I’m sick & tired of you trying to make everything about politics, even doing so over articles that mention someone’s death.

And no one can try to reason with you because you lack the ability to have a rational conversation.

Why in the world is everyone making race a huge issue, apparently it’s moral value to be a racist towards white people, Jim your cute little article is nothing but hot air,

I would be shocked if the author supports abortion because abortion has racial roots. When more black babies are being slaughtered than white babies. Oh what hypocrisy.

I have found Christians who have condemned torture, so it looks like the author is a poor researcher, maybe he could’ve called the following people:

Jonny Mac
Albert Molher
Derek Thomas
Sinclair Furgeson
James White
John Piper
Etc.

Jim why don’t you mention that Democrats are becoming socialists, why don’t you mention the fact that the 1925 Scopes Trial has been used to mock and misrepresent Christians, why don’t you mention the racism of the author, why don’t you mention the mocking attitude towards Christians that the author has, why don’t you mention the clear bias that the author has?

Jim, according to your reasoning, Jesus was on a fool’s errand. He knew what would happen, He knew that they would kill Him, but apparently you’re more discerning than Jesus.

And those early Christians were just plain old stupid, they knew that preaching the gospel would land them in some hot water. Perhaps we should rename the “Book of Martyrs” to “The book of Christians lacking wisdom from Jim” we’ll send Polycarp this newfangled title, and we’ll have you sign it Jim.

Christians know the cost.

“Let goods and kindred go, this moral life also, the body they may kill, God’s truth abideth still, His Kingdom is forever”

“God is sheer being itself - Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."

This is John 4:24 out of the message “Bible”

Yet I wonder if they support Planned Parenthood, and if they know the history of it. 🧐

And I wonder to whom they would be thankful to for their possessions. 🤔 If you missed The Briefing with Albert Molher yesterday, you need to listen to it.

That bird feeder thing is $45 I could use that $45 and have a whole lot of hamburgers for thanksgiving.

Tim, I recommend getting a squirrel assassin or something, because them squirrels will form a resistance to take over your house, goats and guns!

So go down to Bubba’s Buckshot gun store, but some artillery for your goats, they need to be armed and ready, if they won’t protect your bird feeder, who will?

And whatever you do, don’t try to sign a peace treaty with them, don’t trust them.

And Tim, how about virtual fruits of the Spirit?

On a more spiritual note, isn’t it just fascinating that the Trinity is fully involved with our salvation. An incredible thing, and we aught to be gracious.

Thanks John, I’ve never seen the website, but the author...certainly is zealous. I’m digging deeper in the subject, so that will be of great help.

@John UK, Can you give documentation of the quote from Wescott and Hort? It would be very helpful for me. Thanks.

Furthermore, I think Christians in every denomination, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, non-denominational denomination, Calvary Chapel, etc. aught to examine this matter using the scriptures, recognizing that there is Christian liberty, and that our goal is to please Christ, submitting what we watch/listen to, to Christ.

The Christians who are serious about this topic will submit themselves to the scriptures, even if it means to destroy every single copy of the following:

1. The Adventures of Shark-boy & Lava-Girl

2. Spy Kids 1,2,3, & 4

3. Barney

4. Teletubbies

5. Care Bears

6. Frozen (including that stupid song)

7. Sesame Street.

I think that everything isn’t black & white, there are grey areas, & on those grey areas we should seek godly counsel from multiple people.

The problem is that some people throw out the possibility of any grey areas that they would say that they would say allowing your kids to play pac man, pong, dig dug or galaga is bad. Or that having a Papa Smurf figurine is evil.

And most of the time it is them (& not the Bible) that determines what is black & white. That’s why people I think so many young Christians who grew up in a house with such ridiculous rules go out & watch or listen to things that are clearly against scripture, but since they have grown up being taught that watching Veggie Tales is good & watching Reading Rainbow was bad, they either:

1. Believe it & hold everyone to that standard.

2. Realize it’s a ridiculous rule & exercise “Christian Liberty” while watching something that is clearly against scripture.

3. Have a weak conscience in this issue & try desperately to find a balance.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have it all figured out...

Dr. Tim doesn’t have time to write an IFB Joke book for 2018, is too busy watching Duck Dynasty and trying to figure out how to ward off those 85 pound squirrels from stealing his bird feeders.

“Don't be fooled by their innocent look. Deers know karate, and they run out of the woods at night and punch people walking by in the face..”

Don’t forget the critters, there’s a reason that the raccoons look like thieves, it’s because they are, they go out and pick pocket peoples wallets and steal purses. And their warped view of fun is to steal 1 sock from people’s dryers. That’s why people have to go to Walmart every month to buy socks. It’s sickening.

And for Texas Pete’s sake, don’t accuse me of profiling, because it’s not animal profiling, it’s just the hard facts. And don’t get me started on squirrels.
