H. Von Bun wrote: thank you watcher. i don't care about the grahams. I know that battle has already been lost. I see value in resisting rome at this time and I hope to continue to do so. Resist Rome and the powers of darkness by spreading the Gospel of our crucified and resurrected Christ. Be a light in this dark world and the enemy will have you in his sights. |

This subject has been beaten to death and we're not going to convince anyone. Redeem the time by spending your efforts talking about things edifying such as spreading the Gospel. BG is a waste of time. Just speaking some wisdom in love. |

H. Von Bun wrote: thank you Watcher. Christopher000 please know it pains me to say this, I am not lying. Please do not let the biblical truth you are able to see be muzzled because of your brother. I will continue to pray for you and him. Satan is in good form. He has us terrified to tell the truth, please see that. In this climate how long do you think it will be before we are jailed for "hate speech"... Y'know, my wife and I have had a similar discussion on more than one occasion. It is quickly getting to the place where we will have to turn off the computers and internet and go underground. There's too much at stake. Am I willing to risk my children's safety to win an argument on Islam? No. We pick our battles and avoid those that really don't matter in the long run. As long as we are able to spread the Gospel and serve our fellow man, then we are doing what we're supposed to. This internet is just a luxury for us. |

His desire is for the liberal left to take over and govern according to that leftist agenda. All politics are evil, regardless of what affiliation they claim. It is a godless way to abuse power and authority and push prideful man centered agendas. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help - Psalm 146:3 There is no king but Christ Yep. For sure. But I wonder...how would a WW3 affect us as Christians in this world? Canada? The States? Should be interesting from a spiritual point of view. Are we ready for the coming persecution? Something to think about, especially since we can't even work as a team on this little forum. |

Yep. The last church we tried to attend had the same sort of environment. One pastor, does everything, won't allow anyone to do anything unless he is controlling it, writing it, doing it himself. There's only 5 people in the church, with our family, it would have been 11. Of course, the very same pastor complained the whole time that he was overworked, stressed and exhausted. A wise man delegates and trusts. Trump is neither wise or godly. He is a business man who has buried many, many of his competition and he will/ is taking that sort of mentality into his presidency. He is in charge, and that's final. If you cross him, he'll bury you. Imagine Putin and Trump squaring off in the ring over Israel? |

H. Von Bun wrote: I am truly sorry about your brother christopher000, You presume a lot. I was half joking/ half not about the censorship. Watcher had just had the same problem here and he was talking about censorship he saw on another site. That's why I am going by the name Been Watching because I was blocked again last night. It seems SA has a blacklist. Doesn't surprise me. I have been censored before (not surprising, I know) and it happens usually when I stick to my guns and continue to ask someone for scriptural evidence for their opinions. If I keep it up, I tend to get shut down. |

Connor7 wrote: Why do work work if there's no homework? And the majority of kids prefer games, violence, immorality (yes, even in elementary schools), etc. most kids do not love their parents all that much, and many parents see their kids as burdensome. We all wish that every kid would want to spend time with their parents, but I'm afraid that kids would rather spend time doing something else. That's just my 2 cents. Absolutely agree. Children these days (and parents) are so wrapped up in their own things that family time will consist of the kids on their electronic devices and the parents on theirs, but all in the same room. Homework is essential for growing minds. Even though we homeschool, our kids still have 'homework'. It helps them stay focused. Nothing turns a kids brains to mush than senseless playing. |

AllForHIsGlory wrote: In reading through the comments here I see that much argument has stemmed from a Biblical perspective that women should attire themselves in all modesty. I find Watcher's comments Biblical as his view is supported in God's Word. An article worth reading can be found here: http://bereansdesk.blogspot.ca/2012/12/what-christian-modesty-looks-like.html It covers what modesty should look like in a Christian woman. It quotes Scripture to back its viewpoint. Thank you AllForHIsGlory. Great article and it covers many aspects of modesty that I didn't even think of. |

Angela Wittman wrote: I will apologize for this: I haven't read all the comments and just now saw some written earlier directed to me that I didn't respond to. I have a habit of posting, then leaving to do work, etc. and not reading all the comments in response. I doubt if I'll ever improve in this area; but it isn't helpful and leads to misunderstandings. Watcher, I get what you and others are saying about modesty. I've probably blogged on it in the past. My focus was on the victims of Larry Nassar and defending their honor. I probably do sound grandmotherly because I am a grandmother! Please know I've also lamented over compromise in the church. But I've also come to realize that we aren't all at the same place in our sanctification and to extend grace to others who are trying to live a Christian life. I also think it's vital one is a member of a local church. So, please don't try to be a lone ranger. It won't work. We need each other, as well as hearing the word preached and receiving the sacraments. Glad tempers are giving way to Christ-likeness. |

Constructive criticism wrote: The Bible reminds us that the wisdom from above is first pure, that is, as you have stated,.. I know I need much prayer that this would be my lot. Thank you for bearing with me in sharing my thoughts. Amen. It's hard to be patient and loving with people when they fight so hard to defend their lifestyle and sin. The problem is, they don't think it's sin. I've had this discussion with Christians before regarding the Super Bowl's halftime show. They say it's okay to watch because they don't have a problem with what's being shown. Could we say the same thing if a Christian decided to attend a Gay Pride parade? There needs to be accountability on both sides of the coin, doesn't there? |
