Great Sermon! Who is the Antichrist? This question has been answered in various ways, and has become a matter of confusion and contention. What is the classic, biblical Protestant view? Listen to find out!
Great Sermon! Eschatology matters Saints! Hear this sermon brothers and sisters. Even Peter was rebuked by Christ for thinking of the ways of man instead of the ways of God. Without a holistic, eschatological view of God's unfolding plan of Creation, Israel, new creation in Christ, and ultimately cosmic restoration (new heavens/earth), we quite easily (naturally) reduce the Bible (God's testimony of Himself) into a rule book for living "our" temporal lives. And then, like little children, say "my verse is right and yours is wrong" and, like the Corintians, His body divides over all sorts of earthly things.
How did Saul/Paul know all the words of the O. T. scriptures and yet later counted all things before knowing Christ rubbish (Philippians 3) because he didn't know the Old Testament was portraying life in Christ and ultimately the summing-up of all things in Him. But when taught by Christ, he knew life was "In Him" and consequently our lives should be lived "In Him. Let us all know Him as the scriptures speak of Him and His purposes - such that we grow up into the fullness of Him who is the head. For his glory and our faithful witness to a lost and dying world.
Great Sermon! Yep! Men are the culprit. It began at the judicial bench. In the past, divorced women with children had to struggle because of judicial inequities that literally released men from their full responsibilities.
What is the difference between cops killing black fathers and women killing babies because the father is absent from the home?
Is anyone paying attention to the number of black women being killed at the hands of law enforcement? Law enforcement?
Laws. Trump breaks them every day. The religious leaders support him openly. Christians, of a certain kind, keep silent. We are all lawless. We accuse some and excuse others. Dems support abortion. Both Dems and Reps support Planned Parenthood.
Pecker of AMI has the laundry of Trump supporters. Mark it down!
Great contrast. Blessed contrast! Only the grace of our Lord Jesus can make such a contrast, saving and sanctifying people and making them beautiful, in contrast with the ugliness of the world and of sin.
Overcomer? Not! Was Billy Graham an overcomer? According to the biblical definition, no. Paul worried that his flock could be overcomers, while he himself could make shipwreck of his Christian life; an apostle whom Jesus handpicked. If there could've been a condition of once saved, always saved, I think Paul would've met it. I stopped listening to Billy Graham when I heard him say,Don't leave here today without knowing you've taken care of this;then you won't have to worry. Don't worry about your friends, they'll wait for you! it'll only take 5 minutes! He supported Pope Francis who said, shortly after being nominated, " It is not necessary to believe in Jesus to get to Heaven. Just continue doing good". Most Orthodox Catholics think he's a heretic, but Graham approved! I believe he did start out running well; but desire of worldy gain took over;So he said what people wanted to hear and got famous. Lloyd Jones said after hearing him,I don't see the Holy Spirit, only charisma. The churches in the host cities of his events saw no rise in church attendance, and why would they? It only takes 5 minutes! Graham said himself, he would be surprised if 4% of those altar calls were real converts, (yet 100% believed they were saved, and Graham's ministry pocketed the $$).If that isn't shipwreck, what is?
Not much on Stanley 95% of show deals with Mormon Kwaku and his denial of the Trinity based on his misunderstanding, or misrepresentation, of what Christians believe. He fails to make the category distinction between Being and Persons as clearly presented in the Athanasian Creed.
Convicting message Thank you. The part about exposing the invisible darkness and viles in our hearts is so convicting and so humbling. Recognizing what we are and despite that, Christ loving us...floors me. What else do I want to do? Live my life for Him
Great Sermon! I have prayed for your Dad Pastor Jeff and I know that God is with Him and we all take comfort in that. All things happen to the Glory of God who will never leave those that believe in Him. Thanks for this great Sermon.
