Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, a Bible-believing Reformed Church. We exist to worship and glorify the Triune God of the Bible and hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith.
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God, kept pure in all ages, by God's singular care and providence (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 5:18). The Bible is entirely trustworthy and without error (Psalm 19:7).
The Triune God of the Bible is the only living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4). There are three Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, the only Redeemer of God’s elect (John 1:18; John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). Salvation of sinners is by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Believers strive to keep God’s moral law, which is summarized in the Ten Commandments, not to earn salvation, but because they love their Savior and want to obey him (Psalm 119:97; Deuteronomy 15:15; Luke 1:74-75; John 14:15).
The second commandment (Exodus 20:4-6) forbids the worshipping of God by images, or any other way not appointed in his Word (Leviticus 10:1-2; Deuteronomy 12:32).
The Lord's Day, the first day of the week, is the Christian Sabbath (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2; Revelation 1:10). God commands us to "remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8).
