Branch of Hope Church has been meeting in the South Bay area for over thirty-five years. With a firm commitment to the Christian faith as revealed in the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, it is our desire to be a church living out that faith, reflecting the love of Christ and the grace of God.
We believe that a person's right standing (often called "justification") before God is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. This "justification" is apart from anything man can perform or contribute - faith itself is a gift from God. Though we believe salvation will also result in a changed life, the changed (sanctified) life is a result of God's grace; it doesn't purchase God's grace.
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God; infallible and inerrant in all that they teach. All statements of faith, church councils and individual Christians, no matter how prominent or successful they appear, may be wrong. The Bible is the only absolute authoritative source used by God with the power to rule over the human conscience.
