Justification by Faith Alone or Justification by Christ Alone
A more accurate translation of Rom 4:25 is by Young:
who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous. (Rom 4:25 YLT)
Paul's use of "dia" in both instances is to be understood to mean "because of", not "in order to".
The apostle declared justification finished at the cross of Christ.
Since there is no break in the original, he continues the thought of justification:
Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (Rom 5:1 YLT)
Note the aorist passive participle dikaioo Mr. Young translates as a past event. When were the elect declared righteous by God? From 4:25 it was at the event of the cross. Then God raised Him from the dead as proof that the full justification of the elect was finished by Christ.
Justification was by Christ alone at His cross alone.
much more, then, having been declared righteous now in his blood, we shall be saved through him from the wrath; (Rom 5:9 YLT)
