Most terrifying! Next month marks my 22nd anniversary narrating, and yet few things I have read are as frightening as this portion of a book. The testimonies are puzzling as well as frightening because in most cases those who have been given up of the Spirit to final obduracy are hardened and not frightened. See A. H. Strong's Systematic Theology page 651. But there are those cases that appear to be like Judas, who knew they were condemned before the entered into eternity. Whether they are correct in assessing their own case is not sure. The least that can be said is that it is an awful thing to depart from God.
