He is a graduate of Bob Jones University (B.A. & M.A. degrees). While there he met and married his wife Sandy. He also has an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary. He served as Senior Pastor of McLean Presbyterian Church (PCA) from 1967 to 1996, during which time the congregation grew from 60 to 1200, helped start 6 other congregations, and grew to have a very large world missions program. Steve then served as Executive Director of World Harvest Mission from 1997-2001, a missions sending agency that emphasizes both spiritual renewal and gospel outreach. He returned to the pastorate, in an urban setting, as Pastor of New Life Northeast in Philadelphia (2001-2005). He currently serves with CityNet Ministries of Philadelphia, a church-planting, pastoral training, and mercy ministry.
Steve is a visiting adjunct faculty member for Covenant and Westminster Seminaries, also a Senior Consultant for Churches Revitalized. He and Sandy, who live in Dresher, PA, have 4 grown children and ten grandchildren. | more | less
