John Bunyan, the well-known Puritan author of The Pilgrim's Progress, though it is very brief, provides exceptionally powerful theology, which is not only doctrinal, but also practical and experimental (or experiential).
Also included in this book is Mr. Bunyan's poetic "Prison Meditations." These 70 verses written in common meter, will encourage the suffering and comfort the afflicted.
Mr. Bunyan's Last Sermon and the history of Mr. Bunyan's Martyrdom, as recorded in Foxe's Book of Martyrs, are also found between these covers.
Each treatise included has been edited in modern English by Jon J. Cardwell.
