It is a rare thing in these days of so much religious talk and activity, as well as so much useless writing, to find a book totally concerned with the Gospel message of Godâs grace in the salvaÂtion of sinners through the Lord Jesus Christ. It is even a greater rarity to find one written in simple and plain language so that the Gospel is unmistakably defined and clearly communicated. This is what Randy Wages has accomplished in this effort to witness the Gospel to his friends. He skillfully and logically weaves together a presentation of the truth of salvation by grace so that anyone who is interested and who desires truly and sincerely to seek the Lord can do so. Randy exemplifies in this book one of the greatest evidences of love and concern any true friend can showâHe tells the truth even at the risk of wounding and losing friends. The wise man wrote, âFaithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitfulâ (Proverbs 27:6). The Apostle Paul asked the Galatian believers, âAm I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?â (Galatians 4:16). The honesty of a true friend, especially in matters of eternal life and eternal death, is to be treasured above all things. It is intended for good, and this comes through in this book.
