John Warburton (1776-1857) was born in Lancashire and after his call by grace became pastor at Rochdale for 5 years and then for 42 years at Zion Chapel Trowbridge in Wiltshire. He was a friend of those great stalwarts of the truth William Gadsby and John Kershaw; also J C Philpot whom he baptised. Here in all its transparent honesty and sincerity is the autobiography of a poor man raised up of God to be a minister of the Everlasting Gospel.
