There is a popular saying among religious people today that says, â€śI am secondâ€ť. It is intended to communicate the value that God comes first in the persons life and they come second. While this sounds rather spiritual and humble, it is not an expression that expresses the Christianâ€™s perspective. Jesus teaches us that all of the scriptures are based on two great commandments. In summary, we are to love God with all of our being and others as ourselves. If we obey these two commandments and order our lives around them, then we would come in third behind God and others. Imagine a world where everyone is preoccupied with serving God and serving others. Thatâ€™s the Christian perspective and itâ€™s a worthy mission to live for. I am third.
