It has been just a fastly passing year for us, and now we're coming up on Thanksgiving. The Lord has really been teaching me in the last couple weeks and reminding me to be thankful. He's gently lifted my eyes off of circumstances and trials our family has gone through this last year -- in the midst of these things, gently He has drawn my attention to all the wonderful blessings He has placed in our lives. "In everything give thanks" . . . This last August, Abraham began his first year of an organized homeschooling program, which we all have just loved - Classical Conversations. He has started reading, writing, and playing the piano. Benaiah shares our loves for books as well. He has almost been completely potty trained, and is beginning to talk up a storm :). David is continuing his dissertation work for the completion of his doctorate degree from USC. I'm staying at home with the kids, and teaching for the homeschool group we joined. I work with the 4/5 year olds. We are continuing to live with my inlaws here in Greenville, South Carolina. We are not certain of the next step the Lord has for us in leading us on past this current situation. It has been a wonderful experience to be able to help with my father in law's care and live with the "grandparents" at this time. We have been attending Faith Free Presbyterian Church here in Greenville. We are just so thankful for the body of Christ here, it has been a tremendous blessing to be able to reunite with some old friends and family as we have been living here in Greenville. Have a wonderful holiday season! |
