Purpose of the Seminary General: It is the general purpose and goal of Liberty and Grace RTS to minister the Word of God to students, to the end that the Triune God might be glorified, the students edified, as they grow in the grace and knowledge of the Savior Christ (2 Peter 3:18), increasing their usefulness in Christian service to others.
Specific: With respect to those intending the Christian ministry, it is the purpose of the seminary to prepare them for profitable service in Christ’s Kingdom, by instruction in Scripture and Christian doctrine, and by practical training in Pastoral practice.
With respect to all others, it is the purpose of the seminary to instruct them in Scripture and Christian doctrine, to the end that they might know the Savior more intimately, and walk with Him more faithfully in the variety of their vocations.
Students living in or near Culpeper, VA, will have the opportunity to attend live classes. One live class will be conducted weekly, in which the students will have an opportunity to interact with the professor and other students. Upon the completion of one class (12-16 weeks), another class will begin. In addition to the live class, the student will also be able to take another simultaneously, working through the material of the course under the supervision of a tutor. Students are free to work through the tutored classes at their own pace.
