The last Monday in May has been designated as a day of remembering, a Memorial Day, on which we remember those of our military who gave their lives on our behalf. They paid the ultimate price to acquire and protect our freedom. They accepted the cost to make it possible for us to freely worship our God as we see fit. The very fact that the names of these 37 men are recorded here in 2 Samuel 23 is a memorial to them. Their acts of valor are a testimony to their committment to King David. What about our committment to King Jesus?
