The brief answer to the Question is - A lot ! The ongoing ministry at Kingsview has continued, with the added pleasure of visiting preachers. What a privilege, but also how increased is our accountability, that we hear a variety of Gospel preachers. We need to realise that 'in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word will be established'. The Lunch Club has continued with a high level of culinary skills, and also with a wide range of 'Talks', both from visiting and Kingsview speakers. The Lunch Club has a break over the summer school holidays, and will resume on the first Wednesday of September, the Lord willing. Both the Men's Breakfast Meeting and the Ladies' Meeting series have had their last meetings for the season. The Series of Reviews of Revival has had its last meeting also. The Reviews are all now available on the web. The final one was the Review of New Testament Revival, given by William MacKenzie . I want to thank all the Speakers for the work they put into preparing and presenting these Talks. It has been an interesting and profitable exercise. Some thought is being given to another Series over next winter, and details will be published when things shape up a bit more. Calum MacInnes, his wife, Catherine, daughter Kathleen, and her two children, Rohan and Blythe, plan, the Lord willing, to go to Malawi at the end of June for two weeks. Calum is to speak at a Conference in Lilongwe and preach in two churches there. Catherine was to have been speaking to a Ladies Group meeting, but has withdrawn from that because of recent concerns over her health. However, she has been given the all-clear for travelling, as the new tablets prescribed are working wonderfully. Kathleen has been asked to give some talks to the Staff involved in the running of the new Medical Clinic which has been set up in a village about three hours drive from Lilongwe. Apart from concerns around these 'duties', you can imagine that the level of excitement is rapidly rising as we are now into 'countdown' to the date for departure. Pray for us - for help in the preparation and presentations, for God's care in travel to and from Malawi, and for during our time there. Whether or not we will see 'large animals' is left as an open and unanswered question at the moment! We hope so, but will let you know when we get back. When we are away, the Kingsview congregation is to be favoured with a variety of preachers, Philip Stewart, Fraser Turner, Philip Ross, Doug Kelly. Then on the 19 July, which for us will be the first Sunday back from Malawi, we hope to have Dr Ralph Davis preaching at Kingsview. This is all for the moment - Talk to you soon again. |

Apologies for the long delay and silence since the last entry on the blog. It is not that nothing has happened, rather that so much going on, and postponing an entry to later when things would be quieter just did not work. So, here goes. Picking...[ abbreviated | read entire ] |

This 'Report' was to have been submitted before I left Canada, but, as often happens in life, the best-laid plans of mice and men fail to be realised. How thankful we are to be to our Heavenly Father that his plans never fail and our salvation is...[ abbreviated | read entire ] |
