How Do You Listen To Sermons?
FRIDAY, MAY 02, 2014
Posted by: Crich Baptist Church | more..
I couldn't think of another way of asking those who listen to sermons, whether from Crich Baptist Church, or other broadcasters on SermonAudio.com, so as you have opened up this Blog entry let me ask it of you.

If you do listen to sermons, what method do you usually use? Let me clarify with a few options, When you listen:

1: Do you press the 'Play' button and listen on your laptop/desktop computer without using a headset/earphones?

2: Do you generally listen on your laptop/desktop and plug in a headset/earphones?

3: Do you usually download the sermons for listening later - on your laptop/desktop - using a headset/earphones?

4: Do you download the sermons for listening later - on your laptop/desktop - without using a headset/earphones?

5: Do you download the sermons and listen later on a IPad or Other Tablet?

6: Do you download the sermons and transfer the MP3 file to an MP3 player?

7: Is there any other method you might use that I have missed out?

Let me tell you why I have asked what might seem to be a strange set of questions. Well, it's all to do with the amount of editing necessary before the files are uploaded, so as to give a good listening experience, especially where the speaker might be one who has a lot of highs and more softly spoken parts in his delivery.

Some churches may be able to afford very expensive microphone and sound systems that can cope better with the problem I have highlighted, but that is not possible for everyone, so for such, like ourselves, it is a case of do the best with what you have - at least until you can afford a better mic etc..

The way that SermonAudio presents its statistics to broadcasters such as Crich Baptist Church is great, but there is, in reality, no way that they can break down the stats to give the kind of detail that I have tried to ask for.

So, If you are minded to respond to this post it would be really helpful, and if sufficient people do respond I will pass some kind of summary (without names or means by which the respondents can be identified) to the friends at SermonAudio.com, in case it may be of interest to them.

To get in touch with us, please use the Comment button at the bottom of this Blog entry, or if you prefer your views to be not to be seen by others, then please use the small EMAIL icon at the top-left of the page.

Our sincere good wishes, and if you do choose to respond, thank you very much, your help is much appreciated.
